    Pros

    Food is some what nice

    Cons

    OMG What a crappy company!

I remember talking to one of the managers and him telling me "My job is to put pressure on you".
That simply sums it up. Management has no notion of how to run a company. The management seems to have this view that "I paid you Rs 100 so I need to get the maximum I can out of your time. I dont care if you havent eaten or slept for last couple of days". Status meetings are simply harassment. The experience from working here is also pretty much useless. Stay away if you have any other option.

I think the general attitude here is that being a manager makes me some kind of VIP and I can use that power for whatever I choose.

    Advice to Management

    * Employees are the best asset. Please respect employees
    * Ethics are very important in life. Understand that
    * Happy employees are more productive than those who are under pressure

    Pros

I worked her for a year and a half. Gives work ethics.

    Cons

You work on all holidays. No holiday pay most of the time except Christmas, Halloween and Labor day. No future in rising in the company.

    Advice to Management

Performed my job to the letter. Gave me a few cent raise said I needed to improve or take up management duties for no extra pay. I said "no" and the management was lazy and did not deal with the client in a business like manner so they lost them. In turn I got fired.

    Pros

I saw new opening at Poornam . I would like to share my work experince for those who plan to join Poornam

    >> Exposure to a wide variety of technologies
    >> Good accommodation and food even if they charge huge amount from Salary
    >> Experience from Poornam is good for new Job

    Cons

I really had a bad time at Poornam. Being a fresher I joined a company with a lot of expectation.

Employees are treated as slaves and good for nothing.

Due to inappropriate company policy, procedures and unwanted work pressure, each day in Poornam was like hell.
It will reduce your confidence and will make you good for nothing. Because of this company structure, there is no cooperation among employees.

After training period, Freshers are put under team with non-cooperative and rude seniors. I won't blame seniors because they are already fed up with pressure management put on them.

Those people who can play dirty politics can become QA, even if they don't have any technical excellence.

    Weekly QC meeting:
    -----------------

This is considered as time passes four core members. Without analyzing the big picture, they ask blunder questions and tell irrelevant moral stories.
Unnecessary importance is given for non-technical staff. This is simply waste of time, no benefit in attending the meeting.

I think they don't know the fact that, they are making fool of themselves and ruining the value of the position they hold.

    Inappropriate planning and schedules:
    -------------------------------------
Even after a night shift, techs have to wait for long hours to get done with QA coaching, seminars.

    No time for personal life:
    -------------------------
Will always be in company due to over shifts, QC meetings, seminars, escalated meetings etc. No flexible shifts, minimum levels, and I find my boarding school life far better than this.

    Advice to Management

    Haha Joke...
I have no time to waste.

Even after two years, I hear the same sad stories who work and left the company.

You guys won't change. You may introduce new methods to play with workers emotion :-P

    Pros

Some seniors with good knowledge in server administration.
Exposure to Linux and Open source.
Good for freshers to get a hold on system administration.

    Cons

    No work/life balance. 24/7
    Bad compensation.
    Appraisal system is dead.
Very less leaves. No holidays even on National holidays.
