    I love my job

I have been working at Popeyes

    Pros

An easy, fun, welcoming, meanwhile serious fast food business. Coworkers from all ranges of life. Typically only open from 10-10. So your shifts can't really be too long or taxing on yourself.

    Cons

Customers! Popeyes is an attempt at fast-quality chicken and they need to try and understand that. I have been treated awful by unhappy customers for things out of my control.
Also, I've been a shift manager for over 6 months and am unable/"not allowed" to work full time. If I get to 39 hours I'll be cut off. As well I only make .10 cents above minimum wage. Regardless I appreciate my job and position.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

At this time I don't have consistent advice for management. Perhaps individuals. But not towards management as a whole.

If you love to scrape by and be in the cross hairs of upper management and the public this is the place for you.

I have been working at Popeyes

    Pros

    Free Food.
    Free Soda.
    Flexible Schedule.
    Heating and Air Conditioning.
Hiring and scheduling people that fit your personal culture.
    40 hour MAX work week.

    Cons

This is a company where you can work your way to the top of the store and make a whole 30k a year. It is an hourly based pay structure so you can at least work some extra overtime, which will simultaneously boost your pay but also ensure that all the demands of your job are met. Actually no you must manage your store at 40 hours or less, while working position. I actually run my entire shift and am happy to make what I did 15 years ago. No, thats sarcasm.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you are not going to recognize your managers for their hard work, effort, and results, then you need to update your compensation package from the mid nineties.

    Pros

Weekly payments come in handy as a side job.

    Cons

Minimum wage, low hours, to many shift leader on one shift. No protection against burns.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop making so many people shift manager, so you won't have to do any work. It only cuts the regular employee hours.

    Pros

    Staff are nice and accomodating
Working as a team is always applied
    Professional managers handle the store.
    Fast service
They observe workers reguarly if they are doing the right things and gets coached every time again without fail if they are not doing the right thing

    Cons

The service is fast but preparation of food really takes a lot of time. It is crazy busy at night.. and because it is busy there will be a little bit of waiting...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

We wish you could make a sign that sauces are for tenders only and are charged as extra if they didnt get tenders. Cause we are struggling trying to explain it to the costumers who could not understand. They would say that we(our company) are cheap for not giving them sauces.... we get in to this dilemma every time. We are defending the reputation of the company from customers who are complaining for something we cannot really do anything about. We want to achieve store goals and target. Customers take up are time which screws up drive thru time and sometimes in lobby that situation makes us(the management) look bad cause other customers hear the complains.

I have been working at Popeyes full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Some free food. If you closed.

    Cons

If you work and don't punch in (ie first day and you don't have a number yet) and they say they'll send i in an adjustment, you won't get paid. And even then, they mess up payroll. So if they do, consider it free labor. And everyone has potential. They well ask you to do stuff to get that promotion then hire someone from the outside. And let's not forget, they will train you how to do stuff wrong and then get mad when you do it that way when corporate comes in

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get crap together. You need to slow your opens. 3 stores 3 Crappy openings. And get your pay together. I left because I was making less than what I heard you start your cooks at and I was your kitchen captain. And you wanted me to do a learning hub on the computer to get the pay you start people at? No thanks
