I worked at Populus Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very Professional folks (those i interacted with) and excellent immigration team. They addressed my questions/concerns promptly. I haven't seen a team as theirs who knows employment immigration so well.

    Cons

Very bad and expensive medical/dental coverage with none or no coverage. I worked with a major vendor of their's. So never got to work with in house placement team. But my friends who worked with the placement team didn't have great things to talk about.

I have been working at Populus Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I'm currently an internal employee at Populus Group and could not imagine myself leaving any time soon. I've learned more about myself working at Populus Group than in all of my past positions combined due to the leadership and the culture created here. Populus Group offers it's employees many unique benefits and opportunities to create their own career path. The Executive Leadership team is approachable and they genuinely care about your success as an employee and individual. If you're not successful at Populus Group, you're not doing something right.

    Cons

I don't have any negative things to say.

I worked at Populus Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Stress account ($1,000) Which really isn't a pro, considering how low base pay is Working with younger recent graduates who are on a similar level professionally

    Cons

Upper management Military style management (Beat you down to try and build you back up...) Low base pay (When was the last time a salary structure analysis was completed?) Takes advantage of recent graduates (long hours, low pay) Pushes "sales" even if role is not sales oriented

    Advice to Management

Switch up management; The lack of professionalism from those who reside in a "Director/Manager" role was terrible. (Posting on Facebook about their employees, screaming in front of the office, ect.) Although there are few long standing employees (aside from management), I would consider adjusting your salary structure, and participating in compensation studies to show your employees PG is competing with the market. (After reading multiple reviews here that state wages are low, why not SHOW your employees your findings) ie. Mercer, Kenexa, World at Work (if you need examples) The turn over is attributable to the wages, and "work/life" balance, or lack their of- In my opinion

I have been working at Populus Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Populus Group: Not just a job, but rather a company who invests in each individual's strengths, interests, and goals to build a career. At it's core, everyone should have a chance to succeed, and Populus Group takes the time to understand what success means to each employee and how they can help lead you to success. The company is always appreciative to both positive and negative feedback to help shape and build it's culture and employees.

    Cons

    N/A - at this time.

    Pros

Working at Populus Group started as a paycheck but evolved into something much more. Once I found my way into the right role, I was able to create opportunities for myself very quickly to advance. The investments in one's development are available; you must be self-motivated to use them. When Populus Group does well, its employees feel the benefits.

    Cons

    Pros

Nothing, this was a horrible work environment. Good for people with no experience or coming straight out of college.

    Cons

I worked on the payroll team during my time at Populus Group. At first I thought it was a really great company to work for but boy oh boy just like after the reviews I read after the first two weeks there is no work life balance at all. I was never off from work, I would stay late and would then have to go home and work after hours and on weekends. During the time I worked there my team was located out of town at the corporate office and was never there for me when I had a question. I had the opportunity to visit them a few times but they made it clear I was not part of the team and was treated very badly. This is a company that if you look very attractive and have the frat boy/sorority sister complex you will make it there. If you are not into groups, clicks and gossip good luck working for this company. The salary is horrible and you are very over worked. Upper Management is a joke. It was a very bad experience for me.

    Advice to Management

Don't allow your favorite employees to bully others. Pay higher wages and don't just promote your favorites, promote people who deserve it.
