    I worked at Postmedia Network

    Pros

Great people, good location, new office

    Cons

Terrible culture, senior executive team still learning about digital, little professional growth and support, HR non respnsive to issues plaguing company for over 5 years, senior team blames employees for company problems, employees are continuously kept in the dark with zero communication.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Respect your team, offer opportunity for growth and mentorship, fix culture, appreciate that everyone is working over time. A little appreciation goes a long way. And while you're at it, some communication wouldn't hurt either.

I worked at Postmedia Network full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The salary is decent (nothing amazing though), the work is very interesting, Great benefit plan, The culture of certain offices is very fun and family like (including the cousin which nobody likes).

    Cons

Mirco management, Business politics get in the way of EVERYTHING, some people have been Hippocrates and even though it is like that in all places it set a whole new level to reach to, nothing is set. one day you can work with one software and the week after you are being introduced to a whole new software. the same goes for servers/sites/tasks/people, the project managers are too busy playing Clash of Clans than actually doing the work, backstabbers are everywhere

    I worked at Postmedia Network

    Pros

Nothing positive to say here. Most employees see it as a pay check in a dying industry, new management and more cost cutting.

    Cons

Limited advancement, uncertain future, structural questions, compensation changes, downsizing, quality of product, lack of focus, employee moral, top down style.

I have been working at Postmedia Network full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

-My supportive co-workers were the only thing that got me through the day.

    Cons

-Management is disorganized, terrible and communicating with staff, and some of the management are just downright awful, mean, and mentally abusve to their subordinates.
-Dying industry with long-time staff quitting, getting fired or being laid off weekly.
-Low pay compared to other industries even though most staff work more than their valued.
-Morale is incredibly low and HR is useless.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

-Not sure if there's any helping them honestly. Suggestion is to run and run fast from this company!

I have been working at Postmedia Network full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Needed to pay my bills.

    Cons

Most people there are arrogant. Very political media company as far as i know working there for 7 years. People getting laid off and new comers come with even lesser pay. Perks given to employees are not equal. There's favouritism and very stingy on gadgets, software and hardware employee needs or require to do their job accurately. No yearly reviews meaning no increase. They hire employees who can barely type and barely know outlook and yet they are the ones who make more money than people who have 3 in 1 job. This company will just make your life miserable. You won't be happy here.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be fair and truly talk to your employees.

    Pros

DG. is a great manager. Every one on the team was awesome.

    Cons

Slow base. Decisions takes long time to get done. So may meetings ( most of them are useless), email would be enough.

    Pros

National Network, Superior digital resources and very talented senior level management team working hard to find the right formula for success.
