    Pros

None. They put some tax revenue into the RI economy.

    Cons

Unsafe laboratory conditions, junk equipment, non - compliance with FDA regs, OSHA regs, filthy facility complete with mold issues. Complete lack of accountability by management. Archaic documentation practices. It seems like they had zero knowledge of GMP best practices within the industry. OSHA should have padlocked that place long ago. I saw more violations of FDA regs there than I saw in 18 years in the industry from falsification of data, use of expired standards, testing to compliance, poor OOS /OOT documentation, improper NC/CAPA RCA Investigation, improper IQ/OQ/PQ of systems and equipment. OSHA reportable accidents not reported. It was a mess. The whole atmosphere was gloomy and tense.

    Advice to Management

The best thing has already happened; you closed.

    Pros

Small company with limitless growth opportunity. Management from CEO is direct and hands on. Hard work and dedication recognized and honored at all levels of employment.

    Cons

Small collection of remote employees can create lack of loyalty and commitment. People who roll into work late and leave early damage morale. Not everyone pulls their weight.

    Advice to Management

Positive reinforcement and communication is the strongest force for loyalty. Continue to get to know every employee and create a personal connection. Growing pains expected, but listen to your employees and be sensitive to their need to feel important.

  3. A fast paced, start up specialty pharmaceutical organization

    Pros

Precision Dermatology is a fast paced, high growth specialty pharmaceutical organization. Their products are good and pay is based on performance and bonus payouts can be high.

    Cons

Precision Dermatology has suffered from high turnover due to lack of respect and trust in it's employees. Some upper level managers frequently display unprofessional behavior.

    Advice to Management

Precision Dermatology can show more trust and respect to their employees. A human resource manager is greatly needed as there is no place to go with employee concerns. There is a high level of fear among many employees relating to job security.
