I worked at Precision Countertops full-time

    Pros

Management is involved and responsive. They hire good people who are invested in long-term employment so, most of the time, there's not much change over. Pretty good options for benefits.

    Cons

Some departments seem to be overworked/understaffed while others are the opposite.

    Positive Outlook

    Pros

Working out of my house, being able to think outside the box, working with people, and representing a reputable company.

    Cons

No company is perfect. There are many things that could change and make the company more profitable, but change is hard to come by when you are making money with the status quo.

  3. Benefits after 90 days, vacation time after 1 year. Jason is a great manager.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Precision Countertops full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Bi-weekly paychecks directly deposited to your account. Company provides all the tools and supplies required to do the job.

    Cons

Not much support for personal growth, but they do watch you for improvements. Don't even dream of getting a raise. The only way (sometimes) I have seen people get a raise is if they are ready to go elsewhere but management needs you because they lack workers in general.

    Advice to Management

Provide incentives for employees to grow their skills. If you set up a track for growth people would happily take it to improve their earning potential.

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Precision Countertops full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good co-workers, good products and services to sell and be proud of.

    Cons

Lack of leadership, no communication between departments, antiquated pay structure, no room for growth, no thought to employee moral

    Advice to Management

Remember what made the company grow in the first place, the employees who sacrificed to build it.

  6. Lack of Accountability or Direction

I have been working at Precision Countertops full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Highly aggressive and professional sales staff. Nearly unlimited rescoures and business connections.

    Cons

Serious lack of accountability and unwillingness to improve processes in manufacturing. Worried more on install deadline and numbers than product improvements.

    Advice to Management

Have employee reviews of management. Imrove leaderships communication. Give a once a year address to employees from ownership.( Its good know which direction the company is moving toward.)

  7. no reward for performance or penalty for failure; not a place for performers

    Pros

respect towards employees good work/life balance good focus on customer service pretty hard to get fired; kinda like a government job in that and many other respects

    Cons

no growth opportunities no recognition or reward for success no communication of vision from leadership no real communication from leadership one way or the other about anything

    Advice to Management

Leadership is about communicating vision. You achieve success by motivating teams. This company has neither a clearly communicated vision nor anything close to what can be called "Success", largely because the teams are not motivated.
