    Pros

Most of the clinicians are great at what they do and support the nursing staff.

    Cons

Hard to get time off because of lack of nursing staff for specific patients (special needs). It's difficult to get raises due to the way that home health nurse pay structure works.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay raises for those nurses that do a great job would help with morale and nurse retention in the long run.

    Pros

Hours are flexible. Work is rewarding, working with autistic children. Able to schedule hours that suit the employee and the client.

    Cons

You only work the amount of hours the client has been assigned. The hourly wage was $10.00 an hour, not very much.

    Pros

Schedule, nice office, worked with some great people.

    Cons

Badly over worked, not payed what you're worth, no raises, no growth opportunities, quite possibly the worst management that I've ever worked with. The worst drama that I've ever seen...not just certain offices, but the entire company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't sell your employees short. Figure out a system so that your employees are not over worked.

    Pros

Not much micromanagement. Dress code is very casual.

    Cons

If you plan on staying on the same overworked career position with the same rate of pay for years, then this is the place for you. There is a lot of dissatisfaction with the low pay rate and large work load. Employees can't even count on end of year, cost of living increases. When the topic of a raise is brought up, the subject is ignored. They seem to keep everyone at the same level without any chance to move up. Management is fairly young. They tend to come off unprofessional at times, so it makes it difficult for them to be taken seriously. They seem to drill the company's "core values" to the employee, but they lack the ability to put them in use in the office.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

In the first two years I was there, I saw 15 people leave in dissatisfaction. This is a very high number for such a small office. Management should really do more research on why employees are so unhappy. There are many people in that office who are very skilled and unfortunately, they're leaving because the company doesn't know how to appreciate all the work they do.

    Pros

This is one of the best companies I have had the pleasure of working for. All management staff are supportive and recognize quality work on a regular basis. From the top down, every one cares how the company is going. Plenty of training offered. I love the company culture at Premier and wish more companies stressed values in this way!

    Cons

Relatively low pay and high stress. Being on-call after hours was exhausting and the industry is difficult.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management and Corporate did very well investing time and energy into the team. I very much appreciate your efforts. Best advice is to increase pay and help alleviate the stress by eliminating on-call requirements.

No growth opportunities, not payed properly for the amount of work you do. Pay increases are a joke.

    Pros

Laid back environment, managers are all very nice

    Cons

No growth whatsoever, amount of work is not dispensed properly. It wasn't just me, but every other Coordinator there often had piles of work on their desk...it created a very hostile work environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Maybe one day create a call center. It was difficult enough to have piles of work, answering 60-80 calls per day made it that much more difficult to get work done.

Current Employee - Program Coordinator in Culver City, CA

    Pros

Nights and weekends off, as well as some major holidays.

    Cons

Management practices preferential treatment of some employees over others, letting some get away with the same or worse mistakes than others; management also lacks structure and lacks consistency in being professional by picking and choosing on what issues to look the other way. Considering the type of work and workload, employees should have higher wages, but raises are far and few ranging from 10 to 50 cents.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be organized and consistent, treat all employees fairly, take the opinions of all employees into consideration when making decisions that affect them, show gratitude for the work they do to keep up morale.

    Pros

An occasional reasonable staffing coordinator, but these don't seem to last. Further elaboration would disclose identity of former employee and possibly place "reasonable" staffing coordinator in a bad position, provided they still work for the organization at all.

    Cons

Would not recommend this employer due to unethical treatment of some employees. Further elaboration would disclose identity of former employee.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

People sign on with an employer to be working, not to be a phone number on a list or to pave the way for substandard employees. Not all policies make good business sense. Why do something that hurts the employee, only to hurt the employee with no positive use in the HR process? Laws regarding the employment process were put in place for a reason. Circumventing those laws places the employer in a bad light with customers as well as employees.
