I worked at Preparatory School of the District of Columbia

    Pros

Small class sizes, reasonable autonomy, beautiful facility, and staff genuinely care about students makes for a generally relaxed working environment

    Cons

Disorganization, lack of communication between lower and upper school, needs of older students go unment as school is designed with daycare mentality, online curriculum is lacking and teachers are expected to supplement without adequate planning time

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire competent accountant, even if it's on a part-time basis, Principal should lead school and come out of the classroom, implement and enforce consequences for staff and students to imprve school morale, offer upper school students choices
