    -Some co-workers were very friendly

-Cliquey, a lot of employees don't bother to talk to you

Even their early stage recruiting process is smooth and professional.

I have been working at Prezi

    Pros

I was not offered a job but staff were very quick to respond.

    Cons

San Francisco office is very American, ie clique-y and snobbish. I was hoping for a more European atmosphere, which is why I applied there.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

CEO should be more involved in selection of candidates in order to ensure a good cultural
fit. Otherwise it's just another SF startup with driven but very provincial and narrowly focused staff.

    Pros

Fun, supportive culture. They are willing to help train you if you wish to learn more or want to get a broader view of the company. Lots of company events too.

    Cons

There was sometimes a tendency to be cliquish and exclusionary of some people. I remember when a potential hire came on and she was mocked behind her back.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The thing about monkeys, Joan of Arc, and Jean-Luc Picard in the value statements is just weird.

    Pros

They actually stand by their values and so do their employees. Open communication, open vacation policies, great pay, employee satisfaction..... the list goes on and on. Culture is awesome with giving back to the world as well as really valuing the employees! Way to go Prezi!

    Cons

May need to establish a few more policies and or procedures as the company is growing rapidly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing what you are doing....as an employee I can tell you that we appreciate you and we totally love working for Prezi!

I worked at Prezi full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    International team
    Technical challenges
Try to create trends, not follow them
Some of the smartest people I have ever met.
Budapest is an amazing city to live in if you want to experience it.
No time tracking policy, you are judged on your work, not the time you spend at the office.
    Wonderful office

    Cons

Salaries can be a bit too low if you have to travel to see your family abroad.
It is sometimes possible to have the feeling that it is hard to have an impact on the company and not only for your team.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure that transparency is always respected.

I have been working at Prezi full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

We constantly get new, bigger and bigger challenges, we get a lot of freedom and basically the company tries to support anyone in whatever way they can. The hiring process is very thorough, we hire only the best, so the team is great. Culture is strong and awesome. You get a chance at changing the world. Everyone is expected (and supported) to grow, you can become the best engineer in the world. We do all the usual things, like continuous deployment, full ownership (we don't have an ops team), lot of monitoring and working with data. The company is growing fast, so everyone has a realistic chance of advancing fast in their careers, we constantly have open positions for techleads and managers.

    Cons

Prezi is only for people who want to grow and like challenges, so it's not for everyone.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I love working here, carry on with what you are doing. :)

    Pros

    The colorful company culture
    Get it done attitude
    Goal driven company
You can have dreams and Prezi will help you to make it happen (fellowship program, paid conferences, ..., dream dinner with the CEO)

    Cons

There is way too much freedom (no working hours policy, non tracking holidays, ...) - you have to manage it

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I really like that how the CEO, CTO and all other executives are just as regular employes as me. Keep up the good work.
