    Pros

    Work environment. Staff was great.

    Cons

too many questions. Work getting interrupted and then asked 'why job was not finished'.

    Advice to Management

Unfortunately, too many turnovers with management staff and could not resolve problems.

    increasing wage scale

    Cons

    demanding
    fast paced
    favoritism
old guard hindering growth at executive level

    Cons

    Pay.
Raises are every six month. It's only $.10
    Promotion without any raises.
    Not enough hours.
Management don't care about their employees.

    Pros

The hours are flexible, the managers (at least at my store) are nice, and there's great opportunity for advancement if you actually do what you're supposed to be doing. I got promoted to supervisor within a year of starting at PriceRite.

    Cons

Lots of favoritism. Not enough hours to make a real living. The store gets extremely busy at the beginning of the month and around holidays and it can get quite stressful when people call out.

    Advice to Management

Hire people with more flexible schedules so we won't have a need to hire so many cashiers every month.

    Pros

some overtime when they aren't gouging payroll

    Cons

payroll is so tight you get no help and most part timers don't last a month. Supervision likes to shift blame form their favorites to others for their mistakes

    Advice to Management

loosen up payroll get some help

    Pros

It is easy to get hired as a cashier at PriceRite; it could be an ok job for someone younger.

    Cons

Not the best place to work, unprofessional management/supervisors, difficult to get a lot of hours, very unorganized establishment, management shows favoritism,

    Advice to Management

Management should be more professional when dealing with current and potential employees. Also, supervisors should receive more training instead of going straight from a cashier to a supervisor position.

You meet alot different customers, you meet some nice people, easily can pass time

    Cons

low wage ,favorism, hiring and firing , ,too strict, never any team meeting ,no positive feedback ever

    Advice to Management

You guys need secretly watch what going on ,it doesn't make sense that every four or three months at least 8 cashiers are fired, some in other departments are fired for no reason, everyone drawer is short .They no team meeting ,coworkers have been caught stealing, even they found managers stealing money.I would advise you guys to seriously check the managers and supervisors.Turn over wayyyyy to high

    Pros

    Flexible hours for students, parents
Easy job if you're good with customer service

    Cons

    Not enough hours
    Favoritism
    Low pay
Every time they hire new cashiers they cut the older cashier's hours

    Advice to Management

Be more appreciative of employees who rarely call out and give them more hours. Also the work place can be a little more laid back, management is extremely uptight makes working there a drag. Cashiers get in trouble for talking to each other and a lot of pressure is put on them when the store is slow. Management just needs to learn how to be polite and treat employees with respect. Supervisors and managers always talk down on cashiers, and other employees.

    Pros

It was relatively close to home, that's the only positive thing.

    Cons

The parking lot wasn't maintained, so there were a lot of car accidents. The supervisors weren't that nice, the bathrooms were disgusting. The meat often smelt disgusting, and there were a lot of stealing. The only reason I stayed so long was to have some income while in college. Most of the cashiers and staff were very chatty/liked to spread gossip.

    Advice to Management

CLEAN THE STAFF AND PUBLIC BATHROOMS!!!!! Also if the meat smells bad, it's not right to sell it! It would also help to provide feedback to the cashiers so that they could become better, and to have more advancement opportunities.
