Pros
good place to begin your career but not after that
Cons
no work life balance, make you work like a dog
Pros
Total compensation, key word being total...tremendous amount of paid time off, intelligent colleagues, challenging work, high performance expected, name recognition, firm festivities,.networking
Cons
Sketchy promotions have been known to occur....
Advice to Senior Management
Incorporate honesty Into the HR hiring process for internal candidates. Process takes entirely too long
Pros
PwC is a great place to start your career! Challenging assignments, great exposure to different industries and excellent benefits. Management is committed to career development and offers many opportunities to learn formally and informally.
Cons
Long hours (but that's expected). Cyclical season of working makes work / life balance a challenge. Time off can be difficult as it is expected for everyone to stay as connected as possible even while on vacation.
Pros
NIce work environment.People at work are friendly and Chicago Office is great! The kind of technical work challenges are good and invoke creative, out of the box thinking.
Cons
Not exactly a minus point but travel required. As a consultant, you have to travel a great deal to meet client requirements and provide client service.
Advice to Senior Management
The Manangement should recruit students from all the engineering branches and should pay more attention to acquiring talented youngsters and provide training on niche technologies.
Pros
There is always a new challenge
Cons
Doesn't focus on long-term success, only short term gain.
Pros
Huge client base.
Terrific market recognition.
Cons
*Pay is not to the point of enticing a person to travel 4 days a week and stay away from family.
*Its consulting, so it has its pros and big cons, I had recruiters simply not respond once they know I was consulting, so getting a corporate career can be tough after PwC.
* Its consulting, so there is no sense of team spirit, its every man for himself, along with that comes the review being a farce, and the director and partners being gods as far as your career is concerned.
Advice to Senior Management
A simply advice to management would be to treat the Associates and Sr Associates like gold. A reason they got into PwC is because they are super stars in what they do, and some of them will rise to be C and D level management in their careers, and future business to PwC will be dependent upon what they feel and experience at PwC. Treating your younger folks with contempt is the quick sure way of ensuring declining revenues in the future.
Pros
Great experience at a fast pace. Tons of resume-building opportunities, leadership roles, and technical experiences. work with some of the biggest/best companies in the world.
Cons
Obviously the hours can become overwhelming at times and schedules can be unpredictable. Compensation is just average and bonuses are significantly less than corporate, but most people know that going in...personal agendas and grudges can get carried out in the evaluation room and you're left with little chance to defend yourself.
Pros
Good leadership and very encouraging leaders. Great training program and unboarding process. They also do a great job with work life balance
Cons
I have no issue with company it as giving me the opportunity of a lifetime. Been a part of a big four is a good thing
Advice to Senior Management
Management should continue to encourage and ask questions. Not just what is going on but detail question that creates conversation
Pros
Great opportunity to travel and learn about many different areas of business.
Cons
After a few years, the travel can become annoying.
Advice to Senior Management
I believe management is doing an excellent job and is continuing to make improvements.
Pros
PwC is both demanding and challenging, but it offers great opportunities to work at impressive clients.
Cons
The recent changes to compensation do not seem to match the results from this performance year.
Advice to Senior Management
Bring back travel lunches
