Pros
Quality of work, opportunities to learn, team environment, best in the industry in terms of transfer pricing, collaborative and open environment
Cons
The salary in pwc across sectors and across service lines are very poor as compared to peers even outside the big 4
Advice to Senior Management
The base salaries in India needs to revised and also the kind of benefits provided to indian employees is not at par with international pec offices. These areas need urgent attention
Pros
Looks good on your CV
Cons
Constant travel and ridiculous hours.
Pros
The Pricewaterhousecoopers cachet is unparalleled. Great place to start off your career and and get resume protection. Get your first job here if for no other reason.
Cons
The transaction services strategy is completely disorganized, if there is one at all. There's not enough work to go around, my entire start class is demoralized after being hired for something we're not actually going to do, and with more new kids starting in the fall, it's madness.
Advice to Senior Management
Work life balance is a joke. The three year promotion schedule is a joke. We are the only big four to promote in three years, and thus losing talent to the other three.
Pros
you can learn accounting skills and share it with others . work culture is simple
Cons
pay is relatively low and work load is high
Advice to Senior Management
pay more and work less
Pros

Cons
Difficulty in maintaining work-life balance.
Pros
Highly professional working environment
Opportunity to learn with industry thought leaders...the best of the best
Strong culture of team work and information sharing
Cons
Very long work hours
Inability to disconnect during vacation time
Pros
great reputation, good place to learn and opportunities can be found
Cons
can be very political and chargeable hours are pain in the backside.
Pros
Great benefits and opportunities to expand your knowledge with the extensive network of trainings and other information to expand their accounting knowledge.
Cons
The environment isn't always healthy depending on your team, some people do not believe in working in a team atmosphere, so they will do their best to undermine the rest of their team.
Advice to Senior Management
Emphasize the importance of working in teams and not as individuals.
Pros
They have a great reputation and are viewed as one of the best of the best in public accounting
Cons
Absolutely no work/life balance, little appreciation for efforts, longer promotion schedule than the other Big Four public accounting firms (3 years to Senior vs. 2 elsewhere)
Pros
Flexible timings
Flexible with location preferences
Enough opportunities to change projects and switch teams
Lucky to have a supportive manager, but may not be the case
Cons
Poor compensation
Too much politics in choosing project teams and promotions
Consultant denied promised benefits
No transparency in appraisal and feedback system
Either be a bengali or you are finished
Advice to Senior Management
Move the head-office out of kolkata and understand that its the consultants who drive the value and not the partners sitting at the top. Recognize the problems brewing at the consultant level and make feedback/appraisal process transparent.
