I have been working at Primerica full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Work as much or as little as you want
District Leaders earn anywhere from $300-$500 on the avg. life insurance transaction (about 3-5 hrs per client)
Experienced coaches and mentors that are always willing to support you
You are in control of your own promotions - meet certain expectations and your promotion is automatic
Make residual income - work from last year that pays you this year
    Company pays for your licensing
Can work part-time without compromising your current career
Paid company trips to 5 star resorts for high performers
    Training is outstanding
Build a company within a company

    Cons

If working hard for success is a "con"...

You have to be mentally tough
You have to be able to handle rejection
You have to be willing to self-improve
    You must be coachable
    Integrity is a must
    Credibility is a must
You need to finish licensing to start making income from life insurance and mutual funds (legal requirement)

I have been working at Primerica as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

Being your own boss, only company in the industry that will let you work and earn money part time on you schedule while studying for licensing exams, excellent company support and training, training and developing your own team

    Cons

Commission only, no company benefits as you are an independent contractor, tax considerations for the self employed

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Opp or Business Overviews are great for some, however, consider more training on one on one interviewing techniques for new reps who have professionals to recruit. Many professionals consider the Business Overview as a cattle call. RVPs are often to busy for one on one interviewing.

    Pros

There are no pros, they are total scammers. They are the most dishenest people on earth, avoid them

    Cons

Dishonest, ripoff scamming low-lifes. Fake religious phonies and cultlike activities. Similar to Jehova's Witnesses or some other cult.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get an honest job and quit scamming people

I worked at Primerica part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

You can make your own hours based on client schedules. This usually means go to their house during dinner time or on the weekends. The knowledge you gain is very beneficial for your own life. It changed my personal financial situation forever. Great incentives if you recruit AND sell.
If you follow the path they give you it should work well for you.

    Cons

The company name is associated with "pyramid". It's not a pyramid scheme but people think it is and will shy away from business with you if you don't approach them the right way. I found the recruiting emphasis was a bit much. I met plenty of recruiting machines that had almost no idea how investing worked. They would get the new recruit life licensed, burn through their warm market, and move on to the next recruit.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give better incentives to top producers. Don't make everything about recruiting. There seems to be no room for a good salesman who doesn't want to recruit.

I worked at Primerica part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

You learn a lot about budgeting, getting yourself out of debt, life insurance, and investing. Overall, I am very happy that I found this company because it helped me and my family realize that we need to plan for the future and it taught us how to meet our financial goals. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs help with their financial situation and/or goals.

    Cons

It is very hard to make a living since the pay is only commission based. I did not make a lot of money at all. To me, with the amount of work put in the pay (or lack there of) is just not worth it. I would not recommend this job/company to anyone who is trying to earn a living.
