I have been working at Prince George's Community College full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

-Embraces technology as a solution to growing educational needs -Great benefits -Friendly and well intentioned staff -Smart staff

    Cons

-Too structured -Too much bureaucracy, difficult to coordinate efforts -Not very open to different ways of working (SCRUM/etc..)

    Advice to Management

Allow for more cross functional teams! Although a very defined management structure can be beneficial in certain situations, Loosening the reigns and allowing for a team based methodology like SCRUM would be very beneficial to completing projects in house, on time and under budget. Don't let people silo themselves with their titles! The ERP director is a great example of an adminstrator who leads good cross functional teams.
