Pros
Flat structure, corporate hirarchies kept at a reasonable minimum.
Fairly nimble organization.
Good opportunities to seize responsibility and grow with the tasks at hand.
Many employees with kids, good acceptance for time off with for child care.
Cons
Currently experiencing a rather large growth spurt, which is very good but taxing.
Loads of different cultures, work cultures and time zones that need to intermingle smoothly. Mostly working well, but takes effort.
Pros
Technology and solutions that customers wanted. Some of the staff were professional and enjoyed working with them. Good smart engineers
Cons
Poor management, no vision and only interested in lining their own pockets. Pathetic group that was more like an old boys club. Engineering controlled strategy and that is not a good strategy for growth.
Advice to Senior Management
employees are your asset not liability. Focus on investing in marketing and getting visibility for the company. Understand the market first before deciding on strategy and don't let engineering drive strategy.
Pros
Fully paid health insurance
good product
Cons
Working environment hostile. Poor to no communication of expectations.
Advice to Senior Management
None. I think the problem in my case was at the edge with little visibility centrally.
Pros
The PacketLogic product is very fun and cool to work with. The engineers are top-class.
Cons
To much travel and at times very bad internal communication.
Advice to Senior Management
Don't wear out your valuable employees.
