Pros
Great team great culture, work with creative talent people make the working day enjoyable and always give you the opportunity to improve
Cons
too many layers before the decision to be made, not enough anatomy for individual development and slow decision making process
Advice to Senior Management
The senior management should be more open about their decisions to employees rather than the small group considered inside the circle
Pros
Opportunity to grow over a number of year, highly ethical company, good work/life balance.
Cons
Is it too big to grow?
Pros
It's a top notch company and only recruits the best talent. Less than 0.1% of applicants are hired each year. You'll learn so much and grow tremendously working for P&G.
Cons
Because we hire so many great people, competition is stiff. And the bottom 3% each year are put on a performance plan and coached out if they don't improve.
Advice to Senior Management
Management should continue to push us to meet goals and keep our values, never forgetting the people who really drive the company. I think that's happening and should continue.
Pros
The people of Procter & Gamble are some of the brightest, strategic and creative in the industry
The work is inspiring and challenging
The pay and benefits are competitive
Work life balance and focus on healthy living
Incredible training opportunities
Deep consumer understanding
Global company with opportunity for travel and assignments abroad
Cons
Very competitive environment, especially in Marketing
Very process driven company, which can gets in the way of speed and agility
Size and complexity of company can be daunting
Advice to Senior Management
Continue to invest in your people
Create flexibility in the system to allow for different processes and approaches
Reduce complexity
Pros
People, Culture, Principles, Values, Purpose, Great Brands, Strong leaders.
Cons
Salary/Compensation is capped at each band/job level no matter how well you do, the job is only worth so much
Advice to Senior Management
Need to figure out a way to continue to compensate top performers at each band beyond salary.
Pros
Opportunities to do so many different things. You're constantly being challenged by the new opportunities for growth and development.
Cons
Like any big company you can get bogged down in the bueracracy.
Advice to Senior Management
Take out layers.
Pros
1. Great people to work with
2. Challenging work
Cons
1. Networking is key
2. Upward Mobility can be slow after few years
Pros
unbelievable training ground, smart people, lots of flexibility with career path.
Cons
in addition to building the business, you have to build the organization like developing large scale trainings or run the united way campaign with a team. If you don't do enough, you're penalized during annual reviews when the people who have no lives outside of work trump you.
Advice to Senior Management
Stop direct placement & let people interview for roles they want not roles you put them into directly. You're resurrecting the 'Proctoid' reputation.
Pros
large well respected company. Broad range of research oppertunities available with in the company makes finding your area of interest easy
Cons
Some history of viewing 4 year degree's or nonscience degreed R&D personel as a pair of hands. This seems to be inmproving in recent years
Advice to Senior Management
A lot of progress has been made in empowering employees with the open job posting system in which internal jobs are posted so everyone in the company can see/apply.
Pros
Very good technical foundation
Good foundation in understanding how products make it to market
Understanding consumer need and how to drive it to market
Promote within
Cons
Very competitive when it comes to promotions
They benchmark with other companies
Need to be more competitive in recruiting
Need to recruit all over USA
Advice to Senior Management
Better direction to continue to grow employees to help them achieve the next level in their careers. Continue to understand employees work life balance
