Great place to learn and work on big brands.

    Assistant Brand Manager (Current Employee)
    Cincinnati, OH

ProsYou get to work with the smartest people and learn from them. As a hire from within company everyone is keenly interested in your development and career. There are some great opportunities to do some amazing things.

ConsP&G is notoriously slow at promoting folks especially at the lower levels. Also there is a great variance in workload depending on the brand you work on. Some brands are known to be better at work life balance than others.

Advice to Senior ManagementReally look at advancement for ABM & BM. 10 years is a long time to be in those positions if you are not a 22 year old college grad.

I am very please to part of a company that is well establish and care about their employees.

    Field Technician (Current Employee)
    Belcamp, MD

ProsSome of the reasons to worik for Procter & Gamble are good pay, work enviroment, and oppotunties for advancements.

ConsSome of the downsides may consist of no acess to public transportation, salary cap for part time employees, and no third shift.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep on doing a fabulous and great job!

Lots of potential not put to good use.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    Cayey, PR

ProsHuge company, job security, great benefits. The site has a lot of nice people, but in general the culture is very difficult to work with. The need for improvements sometimes overlooks quality.

ConsLong hours, little recognition, difficult to move up from technician to manager level. Most movement will be horizontal.

Advice to Senior ManagementEvaluate people on their performance, not on the managers opinion.

The place to be for engineers and marketers

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    Cincinnati, OH

ProsExposure to some of the best business leaders
Critical lessons for how to deliver to consumers
    Very consumer and integrity focused
For the most part, really wonderful people.

ConsR&D is a bad place to be if you are not an engineer
Ask too much, but not enough in return (in terms of compensation, recognition)
Promotions happen at a glacial pace
The company doesn't move quickly enough because it is stuck in a very conservative mindset. Needs to be more agile.

Advice to Senior ManagementRestructure the technical career path to enable strong, capable minds to be fully utilized. As it stands now, I see a lot of talent that is undervalued and untapped. The TCS undermines that which it was supposed to help grow.

Good Place to Start your career

    Assistant Brand Manager (Current Employee)
    Cincinnati, OH

ProsBest place to work at the beginning of your career- recruiters are all over you. Its like getting a second masters because you learn so much and have such an ability to affect the business.

ConsAlot of pressure in brand to deliver more business results than the next guy and do the build the organization activities. Impossible to have a true work life balance. Everyone works on vacation and emails go through the weekend. You'll be much happier with yourself if you just dedicate yourself to your career and don't try to divide yourself between work and home.

Advice to Senior ManagementTake time to play more often so your employees can as well. Don't email from vacation
