I have been working at Procter & Gamble as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

The office culture is nice, and there is always someone there to help you out when you need it. There is a great policy for working, as you don't need to work all 5 days a week, and your last day can be a half day for each week.

    Cons

The salaries are not the best, but they are competitive. The training is intensive, and you do not always have the opportunity to work in the branch of your interest.

    Pros

The site is always trying to be better in everything

    Cons

P&G is so big it kills plants agility to be able to innovate to our full potential . This in turn discourages some great ideas from being put in place.

I have been working at Procter & Gamble full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

There are great opportunities within the company to grow and learn, expand experiences, work globally, work across functions and change roles with flexibility and work life balance

    Cons

As with all large global companies, there are draw backs including slow decision making and other politics. Promotion can also be challenge.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management is honest and works hard to work toward company goals and help their employees work toward their goals. The recent announced brand reduction has created a lot of buzz and potential opportunites.

    P&G Reducing Workforce in USA

Former Employee - D-Level A&T in Cincinnati, OH
Former Employee - D-Level A&T in Cincinnati, OH

I worked at Procter & Gamble

    Pros

I loved working for P&G, but with each year, it was becoming more obvious that the focus of the company is not the USA. The company has great compensation.

    Cons

P&G is moving their focus to the Asia market, reducing their American workforce in order to beef up their Asian operations. P&G benefits have decreased dramatically over the last 10 years until their benefits are no longer a good incentive to hire on or remain employed there.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The A&T system in the USA is broken. Most Admins are doing the work of Band I employees, yet A&T's are not rewarded with recognition or promotion opportunities.
