I have been working at Procter & Gamble as an intern

    Pros

friendly people, the company really takes care of their employees they care that you have a good work life balance and that you are having fun and enjoying your work, The work can be a bit boring the managers can sometimes over look some of the younger engineers. Lots of diversity. They have a big connection with GE aviation so they hold alot of events. As an intern you get paid very well and the projects you get are amazing and very well thought out specifically tailored to you .

    Cons

big company lots of red tape

    - Are embraced in an unbelievably supportive and productive culture where you feel valued
    - Get to drive around a nice car for the summer
    - An internship that pays YOU for relocation.... pretty incredible

    Cons

    - Limited exposure to the customer
    - Plenty of data analytics, hence the importance of the online and in person assessments

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make it clear to your intern whether their enrollment in the optional Intern Advisory Board is important to them getting hired or not.

I worked at Procter & Gamble as an intern

    Pros

High compensation compared to other companies offerings for interns. Great intern atmosphere, lots of events. Everyone is willing to assist interns in their projects, overall great attitude. The people are amazing. Everyone is well spoken, smart, talented, and fun to be around. The company hires well. The people really do care about you. The culture is great.

    Cons

Location isn't the best. For engineering, not ideal because engineers can tend to get "stuck" instead of promoted. Not an up & out culture in engineering the way it is in marketing.

I worked at Procter & Gamble full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Very good benefits; great work/life balance; interesting work scientifically; not the best for software development; lots of opportunity to transfer internally and do different things

    Cons

Large company (easy to become a number); outside of the science aspects the business environment is very streamlined (to be read rigid); very business oriented structure (run like a group of businesses)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to flatten the management structure, too top heavy at the time

I worked at Procter & Gamble part-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Excellent business practices! Performance Development opportunities / training mentality.

    Cons

Data driven Managers who didn't possess strong People Skills where given promotions to then lead teams - not always beneficial.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Would encourage top management to create 2 track promotion opportunities (analytical / people) - can't truly teach people skills if brain style is 100% left brain. Value able to company but not as manager with people responsibility.
