Current Employee - Anonymous Employee in San Francisco, CA

    Pros

    20 vacation days
Decent incentives (half days, cash prizes, etc)
    Laid back work environment
    Lots of young people
    Opportunities to advance

    Cons

Salary is way to low for San Francisco
Not sure where US office is headed in the future
    Relatively difficult product to sell
    Steep learning curve

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Higher base salary, and restructure of commission to give the employees an opportunity to make more money. This will keep the good employees around longer.

Current Employee - Sales Manager in London, England (UK)

    Pros

If you are willing to work hard and don't expect things to land in your lap you will do well here. Hard work is essential but rather than moan about having to put the hours in more people on this site should learn that no employer is going to reward a mediocre level of performance.

    Cons

Having to deal with a lot of generation Y employees who as mentioned above believe the world owes them a living and who want to live the London lifestyle without grafting for many years to achieve a high level of success, which the management here have done. If you want more holidays be a teacher. If you want a 9-5 go and work in admin.

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

good balance work-life, some colleagues are nice, great potential (wrong hands), no bad place to start the career but no longer than a year

    Cons

No promotions, no pay rises (except for the top managers that at 5 clock are out of the office), no career, lies to employees, micromanagement, short sight in business, employees are treated like rubbish, if you have a problem at work there is no one to talk to because no one cares, bad organisation, lack of communication, slacker managers

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have meetings to build up decent products, talk to each others and treat good employees decently giving benefits and money and not just making money for yourself as top managers earn a fortune keeping the employees on minimum wages !

Current Employee - Digital Sales Executive  in  London, England (UK)
Current Employee - Digital Sales Executive in London, England (UK)

    Pros

    - Good commission structure
    - Fun incentives

    Cons

    - Dirty offices
    - Unethical business practices
    - Sweat shop environment / long work hours
    - Stressful work environment, continuous micro management
    - Staff undervalued
    - No room for internal promotion or growth
    - No kitchen facilities (If you want coffee/tea, purchase from company canteen)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Downsize your sales force, sack the slackers, employ professionals on better salaries and treat your employees like human beings and not robots. You will be surprised by the results. Company products (digital magazines/websites) need to deliver results. Put some money behind marketing your products! Employees are encouraged to misrepresent, grab the money and run! This is wholly unethical and not something you would expect from a company of this size. Open up a kitchen facility so that your employees can make their own tea/coffee. Bring in professional cleaners as the offices are filthy. Carpeting looks like its not been cleaned in 20 years.

You'll get work experience but few stay longer than one year

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee  in  London, England (UK)
Former Employee - Anonymous Employee in London, England (UK)

    Pros

    + Employs recent graduates
+ Young company with social activities

    Cons

    - Little or no opportunities to be promoted
    - Money focused company, do not invest in their employees
    - Hierarchical
    - Low salary (no annual reviews or opportunities for an salary increase)
    - No work / life balance (expect employees to work 12 hours each day without any benefits)
    - Teams understaffed in some departments
    - Say that they encourage creativity but everything comes from top managers. What they say you have to do.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in your employees, it will benefit the company in the long run. If an employee care about the company for which they work for they will perform better and stay in the company longer than one year. This way they will develop their internal knowledge and also be able to help develop the company further.

Current Employee - Not Sales in London, England (UK)

    Pros

The location of the head office isn't bad. Coworkers are mostly interesting, intelligent people.

    Cons

    No promotions or raises
No leadership (just new performance targets)
No HR department, no internal communications
    Noisy, crowded office
No clue what people actually do
    Etc.
Can't say too much or I'd reveal my identity

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Make yourselves redundant.
