Excellent company with a great culture

Nursing Center (Current Employee) Mount Angel, OR

ProsGreat Benefits, competitive pay, room for advancement.

ConsStaffing shortages with a high rate of turnover for lower level employees requiring a lot of agency workers who are do not care about the company.

Advice to Senior ManagementHire extra employees for call or part-time to keep agency out and morale up among Providence employees. It is difficult to take advantage of PTO if there is no coverage. Caregiver burnout could be prevented if ongterm staff was allowed to take their PTO

    Great mission, excellent professional people

Human Resources Leader (Former Employee) Renton, WA

ProsAn organization that truly values people and wants to make a positive difference in the world.

ConsPeople work so hard - sometimes too hard - and might burn out.

Advice to Senior ManagementCheck in with people and be willing to hear if they are overwhelmed and worn out. Take some things off their plates even if they're willing to work more and harder for all the right reasons. People just can't go forever working so hard.

Refreshing to work in a place where people walk the talk

Business Analyst (Current Employee) Renton, WA

Prosi'm grateful every day to be able to come in to work and live our mission. We serve every person we meet with our core values - patients, customers and other employees. This is a refreshing change from previous fortune 100 employers.

Consit's a non-profit ... resources always seem to be stretched way too thin. It can also take a lot of time and consensus building to get complex tasks completed. running a business by committee is tough.
