Pros
Instant name recognition in Philadelphia. Good management support and very helpful associates.
Cons
Commission only. I worked there 5 years and the management never threw me a listing or client.
Advice to Senior Management
Spread the wealth around some.
Pros
see above
PFR is a highly respected local entitiy in Real Estate .
Cons
Preferential Treatment and Opportunities ( i.e. relo)
handed out selectively (only) to the long time top producers,
makes it hard for relative newbies to get a foothold .
Support staff is minimal and is really negative about actually doing any work .
Advice to Senior Management
Remind yourself and the support staff that the realtors pay your salary .
Start treating support staff like respected employees, currently they have
free rein and are not helpful unless getting paid extra by individual realtors .
Some spend most of their day on a smoking break or playing cards online .
As a realtor who does not get handed a paycheck for not working , that really irks !
Pros
Brand recognition - strength in the name.
The most advanced tools and technology are available to all agents... truly cutting edge.
Endless training opportunities are introduced on a constant basis.
Management makes it a priority to offer individual business plans available to any agent interested.
Developing highly skilled agents is the goal of the company.
Cons
It's real estate... we work on 100% commission.
Not specific to Prudential Fox & Roach - realtors are entrepreneurs and must run their own business. It's not for everyone.
Advice to Senior Management
It would be a great idea to upgrade every office to wireless internet.
Pros
Great access to leading technology
Positive work environment
Room to grow professionally
Mentoring program
Cons
I can't think of any cons at this time. This has been a wonderful company to work for, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to grow their real estate business.
Advice to Senior Management
Even with the declining economy, it would be nice to have more company sponsored events to acknowledge and thank the many independent contractors that work so hard. Perhaps not on the scale of the past, but something....
Pros
great support staff and great tools for presentations
Cons
too many fees are charged
Advice to Senior Management
Ask for what you want
Pros
Brand is well respected in the area.
Cons
Incompetent middle management. No direction or training. Lots of noise when goal is not achieved, you are always told what you did wrong, but no training or mentoring on how to get it right.
Advice to Senior Management
Larry Flick needs to do an undercover boss. I have to believe that senior management does not know what is going on with middle management. The amount of talent that goes out the door is out of control. Some managers have no formal training or aptitude for team lead positions.
Pros
Colleagues are knowledgeable and respected in the real estate industry.
Cons
No training for people in management. If they can sell real estate it is assumed that they can manage people
Advice to Senior Management
Separate the skills required to run an office. Let the top performers train and let the people who can manage people/offices run the office
