Use people, lie to employees, bad Ad Network, bad leadership...

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Philadelphia, PA

ProsGreat training and name for resume.

ConsBad leadership, run by an Oligarchy of people who have egos the size of trucks, agendas that are never evident and metrics that are based on rumor and opinion.

Good if you work in HR

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsI liked being part of Publicis Groupe and the agencies within PHCG seemed more "with it."

ConsI never understood the place. The CEO is MIA. Everything is driven by HR. this is odd in a advertising agency even in corporate. HR seemed to have a huge number of people compared to the other departments. That might be OK but the HR people did not seem to have any experience in the advertising or healthcare industry, so seemed completely out of touch, so when they came up with programs, they never made sense to me.

Advice to Senior ManagementHire people who understand or have worked in marketing, advertising, healthcare.

    A Lost Opportunity

Senior Vice President Human Resources (Former Employee) New York, NY

ProsPublicis had just finished a spree of acquisitions in the US. It was a unique opportunity to transform an organization.

ConsThe folks in Paris did not have a good understanding of US employment practices, and did not care to learn. Their lack of understanding of what was needed to incent people hurt our ability to attract and retain top talent,

Advice to Senior ManagementIf you plan on moving in to a market to grow your business, you should make it a point to understand that market and allow management the latitude to reward its employees.

Large Advertising Network that forgot that people are the best investment

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Langhorne, PA

ProsLarge, well-recognized company with an interesting business model. Many talented people who are committed to success.

ConsManagement has lost its way and forgot about people. Culture not taken seriously so morale is low. Many mysteries that disenfranchise individuals and teams.

Well paying, top heavy org with lots of smart people

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) New York, NY

ProsVery smart, creative employees, supportive HR. Good benefits and work-life balance. Exciting client engagements. Highly collaborative group.

ConsLimited professional growth. Everyone wants to do strategy, but not the dirty work that supports it. Non-executive employees are spread thin. Poor technology infrastructure limits strategic capabilities.

Advice to Senior ManagementThink enabling infrastructure to back up strategic services.
