Mostly friendly, but conservative thinking

Creative (Former Employee)
New York, NY

I worked at Publicis USA full-time for less than a year

ProsNearly all of the people were extremely friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was pretty relaxed. I got to work on major brands.

ConsThere wasn't much chance of having big or unusual ideas approved, as the creative climate was fairly conservative and traditional.

Advice to Senior ManagementApprove and sell some bigger ideas, even though Publicis is more of a traditional agency. Also, train people in presentation skills.

Looking for the Advertising Experience??

Assistant Account Executive (Former Employee)
Seattle, WA

I worked at Publicis USA part-time for more than 3 years

ProsMy boss was one of the nicest guys you could ask for. The company is Global so the possibilities are great to say the least. The work was good and some of the people were really lovely to work with.

ConsBringing in new management was the anchor that sank the ship; when you have someone who is not the right fit everything just goes down.

Advice to Senior ManagementEvery Executive isn't going to work; sometime a jerk is just that a jerk.

The people are really nice, the benefits are great, and higher management usually understand that you have a life too.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
Dallas, TX

I have been working at Publicis USA

Pros-Great benefits
-Cool office
-Nice area
-Nice coworkers

Cons-Core ideas for campaigns/plans aren't resonated to the rest of creative, so when I'm given stuff to work on, I'm not really sure what's going on
-Long hours when it comes close to client reviews/meetings and gaining new business, but I think that's everywhere in the industry

Advice to Senior ManagementCommunicate where ideas are going more openly so the rest of the office (creative especially) can better the work given before them.

Smart people but pretty unorganized

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
Chicago, IL

I worked at Publicis USA

ProsGood benefits provided to employees. You get a ton of time off and holidays per year, people are nice and the work days are 7.5 unless you have a project that demands more.

ConsThe Corp is very unorganized they constantly purchased people over the years but never properly integrated them. Overall minimal effort to fix that by mgmt.

Advice to Senior ManagementFocus on properly integrating the companies. I found no direct or support was given from mgmt to help achieve this

I worked at Publicis USA

ProsGreat work environment, Company deals with co-workers fairly. Many people leave the company and then come back. Spacious and colorful

ConsDepending on the department and title many feel it takes yrs to be eligible for a transfer. Didnt really share inhouse opportunities with departments

Advice to Senior ManagementI feel they are doing a great job. Great interpersonal skills & can be a place someone can work at for yrs.

Great place to work

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
New York, NY

I have been working at Publicis USA

ProsCompany is on the right track for success. Lots of digital training initiatives. Getting stronger in New Business. Fun environment.

ConsNY office is in a horrible location, though it is good for commuters. It would be better if we co-existed with Modem.

Advice to Senior ManagementGianinno may want to shake up senior leadership in the NY office to help company elevate to the next level.
