Very nice people in the land department.
Cons
Upper management was incompetent. Head of sales was pretty full of himself.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep even lower level management informed so when making hiring decisions, no one is surprised with the possibility of layoffs.

Friendship, balance, family, nice people, industry
Cons
Too much work, processes, agenda, development, progress
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to employees recommendations

Great culture and they always pay on time. Give sales hoidays and promote family time.
Cons
Merger has affected company as upper management doesn't understand what actually happens in the field.
Advice to Senior Management
If we are going to pride ourselves on customer sat then we should focus on customer sat.
Pros
Culture was great, great people, good employee trips and parties, believe in doing the right thing, great leadership and employees were allowed to point out if there were any issues
Cons
lost their identity after acquiring another builder, changed all their systems and everyone had to relearn their jobs, and do more work with fewer resources
Advice to Senior Management
Monitor employee sentiment closely - employees did not feel like mgt understood what was happening on the ground and all the different changes they were dealing with
Pros
Good company, good product, good pay
Cons
the real estate market has had a negative impact
Advice to Senior Management
Great company
Pros
Medical, Dental 401k benefits are good. Your advancement potential is average. Your job schedule flexibility is good. Vacation and holidays are good.
Cons
Not a lot of growth potential because of the market. In this economy a lot of short cuts being used when building.
Advice to Senior Management
None.
Pros
Solid systems, decent information sharing compared to other builders, focus on the customer experience is solid, people at the division level are great to work with.
Cons
5 years ago, it was easy to know what Pulte stood for. Our mission was clear and our goals supported our mission. Today, I could not tell you what the priorities were other than making money. We spent the last 18 months integrating the "Pulte Operating System" under the notion that we had burned the boats and would not turn back from this effort. And just this month, we began the process of unwinding all that work and returned to an operational model from about 6 years ago. If you want to work for a company that is trying to find itself again, this is the place to rest your head. If you want to work for a home builder that understands the importance of consistency and commitment to a business model, look elsewhere.
Advice to Senior Management
Get reconnected to the divisions. You are so out of touch with your people. You have created a culture of fear where those that speak up get fired and those that serve as "yes men" get the opportunities. Your current long term strategy is only keeping the people that care about themselves and not the people who care about the company.
Pros
work - life balance
great people
management has attempted to keep workforce engaged
Cons
poor market conditions have negatively affected pay, benefits, morale
Advice to Senior Management
N/a
Pros
Like coworkers. They are honest down to earth folks for the most part. Like everywhere else, there are sharks in the tank.
Cons
Treat you like you have no feelings. You're not flesh and blood, you're a number. Just fill in the boxes. Don't think for yourself.
Advice to Senior Management
It's the economy. Things are hard. You make is harder. Makes it hard to come to work everyday. Discounnected from workers.
Pros
The opportunity to take some Cisco classes.
Cons
-That the inner office gossip is not looked down on
Advice to Senior Management
You have no clue what is REALLY going on under your own nose! Wake up and smell the stink.
