    Pros

A Start-up feeling in the good sense of the word. Unlike in older companies, there's an enthusiasm and a focus on results that is great. We focus on metrics, but always in context. There's no dead wood. There is good energy. And there is a good culture in terms of work/life balance.

    Cons

We don't have the seemingly unlimited resources of some larger companies. We have to be careful with our resource usage.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work! Continue to forge the different pieces into a cohesive whole.

    Pros

Got a lot of publishing experience, lot of feedback, as well as opportunities to learn and to socialize with coworkers. Really enjoyed it. location was solid

    Cons

The pay was limited, but acceptable for my position. The higher staff were sometimes a little aloof and hard to engage, but it wasn't enough to annoy me or negatively impact my work.

    Pros

Fast paced and growing company in the technology space. Exposure to many facets of the business in any position. New executive team committed to bringing enhanced values and cultures.

    Cons

A lot of growth means a lots of growing pains. Tons of projects to balance and move forward at the same time. Change can also be difficult in implementing new business processes.

    Pros

Great opportunity to try new things. Given a lot of freedom on implementation. Recently started using newer technologies that make the work fun. Tim is a great manager who really gets IT and how things should be done. If you are a hard worker and willing to learn on your own, this company is a great fit for you.

    Cons

Not a lot of experienced talent. Many developers stuck in the expert beginner stage. Not that there aren't talented developers but there tends to be a lot of hard to maintain code.

    Advice to Management

Your IT department is dysfunctional. Really low skilled sys admins. Sending developers to conferences is just a must. Give each developer the option for 2 developer conferences a year.

    Pros

Great people, a lot of freedom to work how you want. We currently have ruby and php going on. You have to love the Ruby apps.

    Cons

Developers area tends to be very dark. They provide lamps though if you want them.

    Pros

You have plenty of time to learn new techniques and to apply for other jobs. It's a great place to work if you want to start at 8, leave at 5, and have lunch in a restaurant (not always local) for two hours every day. Yep - every day.
There are some really talented people working there.
Garden parties in the summer, and film outings throughout the year.

    Cons

There's nothing to do. They have far too many people for the work available. Entire teams sit around doing nothing, and developers leave because 'the pay at (xxx) isn't better, but they offered me something to actually do'.
Don't expect to share in the success of the company. If you're not related to the CEO, you're getting nothing.
