    Pros

Solid pay, a lot of opportunity, good people, good support, many long term employees, short term employees find out quickly they are not made for this work and write a bad review. I enjoy my work and the people I work with.

    Cons

Working long hours, a lot is expected from you. If you're not willing to work hard, this isn't for you. People who complain are likely a result of a bad work ethic.

    Advice to Management

    Keep at it.

    Pros

Longevity of employees allows for training on the product and business dynamic

    Cons

Long standing employees allow for little to zero growth. Outdated management, buying and business formula, holds the company back. CFO is constantly yelling and cussing about everything, from how awful Microsoft is to why someone did their daily job function. CEO/Owner refuses to listen to employees, even though spending hours in meetings

    Advice to Management

Update business model, hire some new blood with fresh ideas, listen to employees and get rid of grumpy CFO

5 star review by "President" of the company shows true level of delusion held by upper management

    Pros

One of the few companies hiring entry level. Good way to "get your foot in the door" as they say. Majority of employees are absolutely great to work with. Unfortunately most don't last a year. Employees do a lot to try and improve moral. They host potlucks, bring in donuts, organize happy hours, etc. Company provides one fee lunch per month in correlation to their "employee of the month program". You will not be punished for not doing your work. If you can survive a few stern lectures you can get to the point where they've taken away the majority of your work and you can simply show up and browse the internet. Little to no concern is given by upper management even when pointed out by fellow employees. If you can somehow survive for 5 years you will have benefits comparable to similar sized companies.

    Cons

High turn over. I believe their Livermore office turned over >50 employees in 2013-2014. Entire company has 50-75 employees. Benefits for new employees are atrocious, borderline nonexistent. No PTO - No Paid Holiday for 6 months. For example if you start in late July you will not be paid for 5 of their 8 holidays (Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years). Employees disincentivized to work hard. Raises, bonuses, etc not based on merit. Not based on anything logical. Everyone gets it or no one gets it attitude. Some employees think they are at a social club and not work. Lots of "closed door meetings" and backstabbing. Those same employees are often the ones that can't get their work done even though they've usually been given the simplest tasks. Majority of employees have been there for less than 1 year. Majority of office staff is temporary employees. "Salary" is an excuse to expect people to work 50-60 hours a week. When brought up that if you work those hours your "salary" will equate to less than your current hourly pay you will be told "Yes, but you can't think about it that way". That is an actual quote from upper management.

    Advice to Management

You can't punish your employees into having better moral. Everything starts at the top. Lead by example. You're upper managers are all waiting for their retirement checks and are completely uninterested in the long term success of the company. The company is run as if it's going to be sold at any minute. Everything is done for appearances with little to no concern given to bettering the company or the employees that work for it. Spend less time peppering the internet with extremely biased reviews of your company.

    Pros

Several really smart people who try/tried very hard to make this a good place to work.

    Cons

Owner who treats his employees as if they're just "disposable" and creates a toxic environment.

    Advice to Management

Sell the company to someone who could help it realize its potential.

    Pros

-Decent FT employee benefits -A couple of paid holidays

    Cons

-Toxic/depressing environment -Commissions may go unpaid if you do not keep track -Lack of confidentiality, including in "HR Department" -Very gossipy/dramatic/high school like atmosphere; cliques "gang up" on you. -Some incompetent, capricious employees -- rude to customers, do not use spell check/do not know how to use spell check, send catty & unnecessary emails (shared among other employees for entertainment purposes when you do not bow down to the offenders) -Incredibly condescending owner who makes you feel stupid and uncomfortable. -You can easily become the pack mule of the office; work will be piled up on you as old employees (from years) are "busy with work": socializing, shopping online, browsing the net, etc. You can do 10x as much work as other employees yet be expected to do others' jobs (justifications for this will be brought up to upper management) and criticisms/complaints will be bountiful.

    Pros

Small fairly tight-knit group of people (~ 50 employees). Good people. Good location - easy access from freeways if you're outside of Livermore and easy to get to from within Livermore. Has a decent quality product to offer to consumers and businesses. If you're good at selling and sell lots of systems, you can pretty much do anything you want and make a good salary.

    Cons

Unreasonable expectations by upper management. A very impersonal method of dealing with their employees that leaves morale so low that the environment has become toxic. People start there and try to do their best and contribute, but then are held back by an upper management philosophy that doesn't value individuals and doesn't understand why it's important to value your employees.

    Advice to Management

You can't expect your employees to provide good customer service to your customers unless you provide good customer service to them. Your stated belief that it's a myth that happy employees are more productive needs to be rethought. It's a business and needs to be run as such, but compassion goes a long way. Study companies where the employees are fanatic about their customers and their employer. Look at what management there does and how they treat their employees and find ways to apply that in your company.

    Pros

Company prides itself on quality products and customer service. Employees have very good benefits, much better than companies of similar size. Company gives opportunity to grow and increase personal income.

    Cons

Size of company creates the need for multi-tasking by most employees. Not a good fit for a person that wants a narrow focus position.

    Advice to Management

Management is doing a great job of expanding the company into new areas. Several new products in the past year. Need to continue to create new products, technologies and should do more expansion into commercial and industrial markets.
