I have been working at PwC as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Relaxed atmosphere, diversity program is comprehensive and doesn't hide from real social issues, great pay for interns ($36 an hour)

    Cons

I was limited to 40 hours a week, but many work overtime. Regular Big 4 cons

I have been working at PwC full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Exposure to exciting industries in a client facing role. Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment. Young coworkers help keep the office energetic.

    Cons

There is a culture of finding flaws and tearing people down. At each ascending staff level, these attitudes appear to become more ingrained into everyday interactions with others and even clients.

    Advice to Management

Have a genuine interest in your employees and building collaborative team-first environments rather than feigning it behind the guise of corporate buzzwords and dogma.

I have been working at PwC full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great entry level job out of college. Company has very good reputation. Great team atmosphere. It's not cut throat. Hours can be long but (at least in my group) partner and project head is very understanding and flexible if you need time off to take care of personal issues as long as you make up the work/hours later.

    Cons

Can get stuck on projects for a long time. A very big beauracracy so it is very difficult to truly stand out even if you exceed expectations. As an associate, some of my work is really not challenging (a lot of QCs, due dilligence etc.).

I have been working at PwC as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

PwC has a really good intern program that begins with an orientation and training, and actual on-site client experience. I worked with the management consulting team in Advisory, and I would love to accept a full-time offer from PwC.

    Cons

I didn't really have any information regarding what project I would be working on, or where I would be, until the orientation. So it was a little difficult to make plans beforehand.

I have been working at PwC full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fast paced, high intelligence environment where you are challenged and learn a lot

    Cons

Office Politics are the worst, and minorities must work 10 times as hard as their white counterparts to receive any sort of recognition (promotions, bonuses, etc). From staffed on clients with little to no opportunities for growth and development to lack of sponsorship by management, PwC's diversity is a facade

    Advice to Management

You can't keep rewarding some employees while mistreating others and then complain about minority retention. Countless times, the people you are unfairly advancing know it is unjust and notify us every time you reward them for the same things we're doing.

I have been working at PwC full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

I cannot imagine starting my career anywhere else. I have become a true professional, exercising many different aspects of my capabilities on a daily basis due to the types of projects and clients that we work at.

    Cons

Work/life balance isn't as stable as I would like. Sometimes personal sacrifices are made for the Firm.

I worked at PwC full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Very professional. You will work with some of the best in the world. You will push your boundaries and set your career on an upward trajectory.

    Cons

You will be surrounded by A++ personalities. If you are used to being the best in the crowd then you need to get used to being just one of the team and you may find that you are average in that group. You need to be ok with that

    Advice to Management

Make it safe to make mistakes

    Cons

Work you to death, lots of travel, no real choice to pick what you want to work on.

    Advice to Management

Use technology to get your people off of planes and plugged into the market
