I have been working at PwC

    Pros

People are great. Very diverse company and supports it well. Flexibility to work remote depending on leadership. Big on volunteering and making a difference in the community. Lots of travel if you prefer that.

    Cons

Lots of travel if you do not prefer that. High turnover rate because people tend to use a consulting firm as a means to gain experience before settling into a position with less travel. They choose not to spend money on training for it's staff while splurging money on thousand dollar dinners and lunches.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay attention to the requests of your staff when it comes to training. To slow down the turnover rate consider paying a higher salary because at my current salary there is no way I can afford a house that is closer than a two hour commute to the office.

    Pros

Steep learning curve and high performance culture. Great coaching, mentoring, and team atmosphere. The people are awesome to work with. Opportunity to work on Fortune 500 clients. Great exit opportunities and raises. Opportunity to switch lines of service/clients to find what what interests you.

    Cons

Highly demanding career with long hours. Busy seasons can be brutal. "Busy season" can also be anytime during the year depending on the clients year end. Being "understaffed" is considered normal. High turnover.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Great job building a high performing culture. Hire more staff to cut down on hours worked.

I worked at PwC full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great learning experience, good exposure to multiple leading industry firms. Infrastructure and additional education options are strongly supported and encouraged. Great travel opportunities if you're into it.

    Cons

Best way to some PwC up is as the financial services sweat shop. No work life balance, only work. Get in get your experience and connections and get out.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Weed out the toxic leaders who grind associates into the dust and make them eat hours, then screw them on reviews to make themselves look good.
