    I worked at QM Solution

    Pros

    This job is a great stepping stone for a project manager or infrastructural IT technician currently unemployed and looking for a place to hang his/her hat temporarily while seeking better employment. All positions at this company although promised to be long-term, are relatively short-term in nature and can even be worked flexibly on the side. While the company itself isn't a respected reference, the field experience itself has value and should be taken for what it's worth.

    Cons

    This company's owner (search the company to locate this information) is notorious for overcharging clients for items that they can go into the retail market and purchase for considerably less. He is a relatively unskilled technician relying on mistreated and poorly paid technicians to slave for him (for now). He promises prospective employees the world and when it comes down to payment, expects people to sign up for jobs for less than industry standard while working 45 hour weeks with no benefits to offer for 6 months if ever, then takes forever to pay. The company also promised annual reviews for salary that always result in no increase. This company offers poor management, structure, training, and support.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    To realize any potential left in this company, it's important to realize the value in employees. People are just that, people. They have real life situations to tend to including the need to offered competitive pay and a career path. Their time and lives are not something to be played with for the sole benefit of one family, especially when it's their knowledge and skills being relied upon to uphold the company. This company would strongly benefit from an actual structured training program for its sales and technical departments. As it currently stands, new employees are interviewed, hired, and placed at a computer or job site with little to no direction or supervision, hence the client complaints and shoddy work. This company would benefit from the development of an identity and culture for employees to adopt and represent in the field instead of having disgruntled employees showing their disdain for the company in the field. This process starts with a strong vision based on a movement instead of around a person and also with creating the proper work environment to cultivate your people.
