I have been working at QPS Employment Group part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I love the atomphere of working iwth brides. That is my career goal to make wedding cakes for bridess and grooms wedding. I am now taking up Culinary Arts at Madison College.

    Cons

Meeting people that are excited about being a bride, and helping them find a gown for their big day.

I worked at QPS Employment Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Non-Manager co-workers
    - At one time this was a great company to work for

    Cons

    - Pay is well under national average. No raises
    - The atmosphere tends to be more like high school than a professional setting
    - Allow employees who they consider "loyal" to bully and harass other employees
    - They have managers who have no experience in the departments they lead
    - Company has lack of follow through
    - As a professional, you will not have any expectations, goals or plans to help you do your job better
    - If you stick up for yourself then you have a target on your back
    - Company allows branches and upper management to have no accountability
    - They bully you at the company and when you try and speak with HR they will not help you
    - Micro- Manage, no room for growth and no learning opportunities
    - Un able to learn from upper management because they don't have any experience besides working at QPS.
    - Poor communication between all levels of the company

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't allow people who have no experience in "there" perspective departments to lead them when they have no experience in those areas.
Allow HR to actually help the employees rather trying to cover the company.
Listen to the employees who actually want good things to the company to have a mentor or a leader to help them achieve their goals

I worked at QPS Employment Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Internal staff has good benefits
Owner grew the company himself from his basement--gives back to his employees
    Lots of locations

    Cons

    Grew too fast
    Minimal training
    Mixed messages from leadership
Upper management doesn't get along and has "teams"
Claim that hard work will win out, but some offices/areas are very political and hard work doesn't always win

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of the people that are just taking up space, regardless of which manager likes them
HR needs to be more available/visible to outlying areas--there is definitely a fear of reprisal
    Focus on training--at all levels

I worked at QPS Employment Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

There are some talented people that work here. They have started improving their training programs and I believe this will benefit them in the future. Very good benefits and certain managers allow for flexibility.

    Cons

Compared to other opportunities their salaries are low. There are more politics involved in being successful with QPS than with any company I have ever worked for. This creates and encourages an environment for co-workers to undermine each other instead of working as a team. In some ways this is normal in a business environment but the fact that it is encouraged by management is disappointing. "Knock down your teammates so you can personally succeed" needs to be your motto if you want to work your way up at QPS.

I worked at QPS Employment Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

QPS Employment group was able to find temporary assignments quickly during breaks from college. During summer months they were able to find employers that could keep me for the majority of the summer.

    Cons

There were not many cons for working here, it was a good place to get some experience but not somewhere that I was looking for long term employment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked at QPS Employment Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Working Monday thru Friday. Weekly pay. Will provide tools, if necessary to do job. I understand *old* staff has been replaced. May provide health insurance.

    Cons

Low pay, $25 holiday pay, no benefits. Taking anyone on to fill a job regardless of qualifications. No chance to secure another position. New Years Day is NOT a holiday to QPS.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get a clue! Place people in positions they QUALIFY for. Not just a warm body to fill your quota

Former Employee - Administrative Assistant in Beaver Dam, WI

I worked at QPS Employment Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

new equipment at location, weekly paycheck, helpful co-workers, great training at corporate, stretch goals payments along with incentive pay for the placement coordinators.

    Cons

Managers who complain to new recruits about training them once they are in office. Lack of training and the policy of do not speak unless spoken to. Lack of care toward the person who walks in the door. An attitude of the people who come in are there only to make their billable hours look good for the corporate office. Rating people poorly and not placing them due to personal opinions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure you have the right staff in place in your branches. Managers lie to new recruits and seem to have an attitude of do not speak unless spoken to.
