I have been working at QSI

    Pros

Culture of employee ownership. Loyalty of management to consultants and vice-versa. Commitment to professional growth and delivering excellent results to clients

    Cons

Lack of a significant cash bonus

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to expand on principles of the Great Game of Business and Open Book management. Continue to enhance communication between management and consultants. Invest some time and effort to upgrade internal systems like payroll tracking, email access, IT infrastructure, which would contribute to employee efficiency and morale.

I worked at QSI full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    The Directors are very good

    Cons

No paid time off for hourly, unwilling to provide salary increases based on employee market value, no 401k matching, no bonuses (except for executives maybe) and deceptive business practices from executives

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Replace Tom and Rick, then rework your management from the top down.

I have been working at QSI full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

If you are a consultant looking for a contract job and don’t need a lot of involvement from the company, QSI is for you. Albeit another player in the staffing game in Columbus, neither distinguished nor more capable than any other firm, QSI was an army of talent managers matching request A to person B. Never mind that it takes 12+ people to do the job of 3.

    Cons

The three partners have three distinct uniformed and irrational paths for the organization. Two of the partners are uninvolved and uninterested. One of the partners is more involved with his marketing manager than in strategically defining the most viable path towards increased revenue, profit, and margin.
QSI pitches a great story highlighting values, goals, objectives, and insights into the industry. In reality, unqualified people are involved in positions that force the company to move at a turtles pace. The sales team includes resources that cannot use technology. The management leadership team includes resources barely out of college, inexperienced in business, unaware of the market presence, and unable to define a go-to-market strategy.
In fact the marketing team isn’t aware that a social media medium so poorly illustrates a collective QSI that is satisfied with mediocrity, lack of leadership, and no vision.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It’s time to grow up and let the qualified intelligensia steer a more effective course towards a better company, culture, and increased profit and margin.

I have been working at QSI full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

High profile clients in the Central Ohio area; Defined career path model; Senior Leadership (Partners) are very capable; Companies does its best to act ethically in the market

    Cons

Pay is considerably lower than other consulting firms in the area; No 401k match; Profit sharing is for Directors and up (maybe 5% of the company); Career growth opportunities are limited; Confusion among internal staff (recruiting, sales, client management) on how the career model works

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay industry standards; Open up profit sharing to more employees; Provide actual career management support

    I worked at QSI

    Pros

QSI is a local IT company providing staffing resources to private and public sector. Being a consultant you will not have to travel to other cities. QSI has a talented team of programmer but they are all leaving at an alarming rate.

    Cons

Quick Solutions is a staff aug company which is trying to make their mark in software development projects. So far QSI has failed to win or deliver any sizable projects in the Ohio region. Sales staff lacks experience and are not well versed in technology. Recruiters are promoted to Account Manager positions who have minimal understanding of the technology they are trying to sell.

    - Senior management is incompetent and have no sense of direction
    - Lack of processes in the company
    - Decisions takes place behind close doors

I have worked at several IT consulting firms but QSI comes at no 1 for the most dysfunctional company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Replace upper management.
