    Pros

High profile clients in the Central Ohio area; Defined career path model; Senior Leadership (Partners) are very capable; Companies does its best to act ethically in the market

    Cons

Pay is considerably lower than other consulting firms in the area; No 401k match; Profit sharing is for Directors and up (maybe 5% of the company); Career growth opportunities are limited; Confusion among internal staff (recruiting, sales, client management) on how the career model works

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay industry standards; Open up profit sharing to more employees; Provide actual career management support

I have been working at QSI full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Great career path; extensive upward mobility opportunities. Outstanding reputation, wide list of enterprise level clients. GREAT benefits package, including a 401k for consultants, and tons of training and technical boot camps. Very competitive with market compensation across the board. The list of clients that QSI has is really impressive and they do an excellent job of re-deploying consultants to new engagements.

    Cons

Truly the only possible "con" is that we continue to experience significant growth, and with growth comes change; however if we are not changing we are not growing! The "net net" is that it's all for the greater good of the company long term.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the great work. We practice open book management and it is quite refreshing. Our entire company meets 1x a quarter to discuss our financials and any and all questions are on the table. Additionally, QSI is a culture that embraces employee feedback and suggestions..we are continually trying to improve and want to hear what our consultants are saying.

If you want to work for a company which doesn't have a direction - Work at Quick Solutions

    I worked at QSI

    Pros

QSI is a local IT company providing staffing resources to private and public sector. Being a consultant you will not have to travel to other cities. QSI has a talented team of programmer but they are all leaving at an alarming rate.

    Cons

Quick Solutions is a staff aug company which is trying to make their mark in software development projects. So far QSI has failed to win or deliver any sizable projects in the Ohio region. Sales staff lacks experience and are not well versed in technology. Recruiters are promoted to Account Manager positions who have minimal understanding of the technology they are trying to sell.

    - Senior management is incompetent and have no sense of direction
    - Lack of processes in the company
    - Decisions takes place behind close doors

I have worked at several IT consulting firms but QSI comes at no 1 for the most dysfunctional company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Replace upper management.

I have been working at QSI

    Pros

Culture of employee ownership. Loyalty of management to consultants and vice-versa. Commitment to professional growth and delivering excellent results to clients

    Cons

Lack of a significant cash bonus

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to expand on principles of the Great Game of Business and Open Book management. Continue to enhance communication between management and consultants. Invest some time and effort to upgrade internal systems like payroll tracking, email access, IT infrastructure, which would contribute to employee efficiency and morale.

I have been working at QSI full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Placement in nice companies. Offers some sort of insurance.

    Cons

No raise given after two years and they actually took the time to write a letter to say thanks for your great performance, but we think we're paying you enough.
    Lousy insurance policy!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Offer raises and bonuses! Ridiculous to actually write letters to your employees to tell them they are "appreciated" but not getting a raise.
