There is too much career stagnation
Advice to Senior Management
Offer more opportunities for promotions...
Pros
Good place to live and work at. A lot of different dept and position to work at.
Cons
The company is a little bit too big. Too much email not productive. too much level to go through.
Advice to Senior Management
too much level. overall the communication is email based. The communication between different dept sometimes can be quite frustrated.
Pros
-Great benefits, including full health/dental
-Tuition reimbursement (if related to your job)
-Bonus structure
-Stock plan
-401k matching
-Clear management goals, good structure to the company
-Well-defined roles
-Internal inovation process where you can submit new product ideas.
Cons
-The roles can be too narrow if you are a jack-of-all-trades
-Stock upside isn't what it used to be
-Hard to advance up the ladder quickly
Advice to Senior Management
Help employees get more training by supporting more education opportunities in nearby colleges or even onsite. I saw many friends leave that were talented but couldn't find a role within the company because the roles tend to be narrowly focused. Also, don't rely on the massive revenue from royalties, seek to take more risks in bringing new products/ideas to market even if some don't succeed. Place even more emphasis on internal innovation and allow employees to devote a portion of their day-hours to this effort.
Pros
Work life balance
Love the food choices in the cafes!

Great Benefits
Qualcomm Management promotes a colaborative culture
Cons
Vertically Intergrated
New Product roll outs seem to be very late
Long tenure is rewarded
Growth in terms of salary is very slow
Promotions are hard to come by unless you are politically savy.

Pros
Working for Qualcomm has been amazing and the people are great.
Cons
None, I have no complaints
Pros
Generous compensation, happy people who want to be here and are glad to help, unlimited learning opportunities (library, online QC courses, QC instructor led classes, etc).
Cons
Still encounter some people who are overstressed and unhappy most of the time, which can spread like a plague to others. Fortunately these people are VERY few and far between.
Pros
Top player in the industry
Cons
None that I can think of
Advice to Senior Management
