Promotions from within, great training, good pay rate, and did I mention the food? Amazing! And employee discount for you to share with friends and family members (as long as you are buying), Flexible scheduling and benefits are offered too,

    Cons

This is food service, so it can be fast paced and sometimes stressful.

I worked at Qdoba full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Worked with a lot of good people. Really did like the food. Lots of opportunities to find ways to make yourself stand out.

    Cons

Seemed to be a stepping stone for pretty much everyone. Lots of reorganization without considering the impact that it makes on the lives of the people moved around.
I was told I would be at one location, moved to shorten my commute and was transferred within a month to a location that was further away than the original.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Choose a concept/plan and stick with it.

I worked at Qdoba full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

They promote from within and if you show you want to and let it be known that you want to move up in the company management will help you succeed. Very fast paced environment during peak hours. Won't be bored.

    Cons

It's is a lot of heavy work. Physically demanding and really long hours days.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

To senior management. It is nearly impossible to complete all that needs to be done with the limited labor matrix in place.

I have been working at Qdoba full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Qdoba is a very diverse, open-minded company. They are willing to work with their managers on any issues that might arise, such as a need to relocate, etc. If you have a good district manager, then the job is great and you get tons of coaching and assistance to help you perform well. The general manager bonus plan is extremely generous. My first quarter as a general manager at Qdoba, I received the biggest bonus I've ever gotten in my entire life, and I've been in food management for fifteen years!

    Cons

It's food management. That's the biggest con right there. Food management is always going to have certain aspects that make it an undesirable job for most. High stress. You will have to always work a changing schedule. I don't even know what it is like to work a standard 9-5 monday through friday.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There is really nothing to improve on aside from ensuring that standards are the same across the board. On one side of the state, the district managers uphold all the qdoba values and keep standards high. But if you go to the other side of the state, some of the district managers don't care about the integrity piece as much, and they will allow you to do pretty much whatever as long as your numbers look good. These same district managers will allow you to be screwed with not enough assistant managers or not enough team leaders, so that you are working six/seven days a week, and they will just say "hey, if you don't like it, fix it" whereas the district managers on the good side of the state would never let one of their team get screwed like that to where their quality of life is suffering.

I have been working at Qdoba full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Qdoba core values are strong and lived throughout the company. As a manager, we are taught by upper management to create the best possible working environment by creating trust, loyalty, happiness, etc., among all staff members. In return, our upper management does the same. I truly love the people that work for this company. It is as if you were working with your family (but better!). The company has proved to really care about the employees within and always work towards the succession of each one of its people.

    Cons

As opportunity advances, there is a good chance of relocation for a district manager or regional training manager position. Which is no big surprise. So not really any cons!

    Pros

A lot of great experience with different projects and a growing brand. Provide a nice work/life balance. The people there are amazing and really smart and great people to learn from

    Cons

Compensation was okay, don't count on raises to do much for a salary increase and it depends on the department you're in if you want to grow within the company. Some departments are better at promoting within, than others.
