    Pros

Cutting edge technology in 300mm facility, excellent health benefits and PTO policy. A fair amount of movement was possible for most employees.

    Cons

Other than bankruptcy, um... oh wait, the successes we had in 300mm factory were not because of the MES system, the successes were in SPITE of the Qimonda/Infineon built MES system. It was terrible.

    Advice to Management

Good luck with your next train wreck - wherever it may be.

    Pros

    Very good salary
    Very good bonus
    Very good benefits

    Cons

Terrible management, partly because nepotism promoted people that ended up being unsatisfactory managers with no knowledge of good business practice

    Advice to Management

You are the only ones accountable for the fall of Qimonda

    Pros

    Good Benefits, 401K matching, etc.
Best paying job I've had so far
Opportunities for advancement when you start at the bottom

    Cons

A lot of the opportunities for advancement depended on who you knew.
Bad communication as far as the shutdown went.

    Advice to Management

Better communication and honesty would have helped.
Advancement opportunities should be based more on ability and job performance instead of who you know.

    Pros

It was satisfying work with a sense of accomplishment. Great team members. Great pay and benefits. Unfortunately the company went bankrupt in 2009.

    Cons

The only downside to my specific job was working on the GPD tools and having to clean the inorganic arsenic material. Was hazardous, but always approached it with a safe mindset.

    Advice to Management

Well, I suppose there is no advice to give the management of Qimonda now since they have shut down and laid off 4000 employees.
