Pros
Good Benefits, 401K matching, etc.
Best paying job I've had so far
Opportunities for advancement when you start at the bottom
Cons
A lot of the opportunities for advancement depended on who you knew.
Bad communication as far as the shutdown went.
Advice to Senior Management
Better communication and honesty would have helped.
Advancement opportunities should be based more on ability and job performance instead of who you know.
Pros
It was satisfying work with a sense of accomplishment. Great team members. Great pay and benefits. Unfortunately the company went bankrupt in 2009.
Cons
The only downside to my specific job was working on the GPD tools and having to clean the inorganic arsenic material. Was hazardous, but always approached it with a safe mindset.
Advice to Senior Management
Well, I suppose there is no advice to give the management of Qimonda now since they have shut down and laid off 4000 employees.
Pros
The company was very up to speed on graphics memory. Lots of interaction with processor vendors from top firms made the job a very good networking opportunity
