I have been working at Qlik full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Very strong, competitive product offerings now even stronger with the availability of Qlik Sense
Quarterly bonus based on clearly defined deliverables
    Good benefits
Dynamic company with great opportunities for those who want to do more
Not micromanaged - a positive if you are a self starter
Significant changes in senior management seem to have resolved the issues people mentioned in previous reviews because I have not seen or experienced the same thing
Great work/life balance. You will have busy weeks which is to be expected in any company with major product releases and quarterly sales quotas.

    Cons

I haven't really experienced any cons except perhaps
    - the very long hiring/interviewing process
    - some people/mid-managers don't buy into the "Challenge" core value

I have been working at Qlik full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Amazing Product - very forward thinking - innovation is high- looking beyond the now to the future.
Starting to make acquisitions to fill gaps
If we could just fire the leadership we'd be killing it - great people work here but they all are giving up and moving on
Customers are awesome they love the product - shield them from executives and they are happy

    Cons

Comp plans are ok if you're making your number. Less than 20% are making their number. Most are at 50% of plan or less
Marketing - There is none - there's supposed to be a grand new plan but it never materializes - We were leaders in our space now people think we've gone out of business because we don't do any marketing
Employee annual review process poor- allocation of annual merit payments is arbitrary - if you're one of the favorites your fine
Americas sales management leadership is terrible - Oracle old boys club- if you're not one you're not part of the team - and not getting promoted
Turn over is huge and HR does nothing to change that - they are all part of the network supporting the bad leadership
The board is taking too long to take action.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Leave now so we can be a great company again - you are killing Qlik - go back to Oracle where you belong
To the Board : please demand change now before its too late we love Qlik and want to stay but enough is enough.

I have been working at Qlik full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Company still has a very good business intelligence offering in QlikView, however Qlik Sense lack a large number of basic capabilities found in original product.

    Cons

Company refuses to accept the reality of market pressures and soon will start loosing market share to it major competitor.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start looking at what's lacking in future product before it is too late.

I have been working at Qlik full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The technology and products are great. Unique and patented technology, Associative Index Engine, to the industry.

    Cons

The Americas has become a political nightmare and is getting worse under the current president of Americas. Nepotism run rampant has destroyed the company culture in the Americas. To get ahead in Sales and Marketing it has very little to do with what you know and almost everything to do with who you know. Very sad as the culture was so strong prior. Comp plans are sub-par unless you are hired and managed by a friend.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop judging on hearsay and get into the field!

I have been working at Qlik full-time

    Pros

The brand-new new product, Qlik Sense, is one of the top if not the best data analysis product out there. R&D has done a phenomenal job in creating something beautiful, easy to use, and useful. Qlik should be proud of what it has accomplished - re-revolutionize the BI industry once again. The challenge is still around increasing market awareness. Qlik has been around for 20 years but Tableau has recently taken the lead in awareness. Qlik is well-positioned to take that back with proper marketing and customer nurturing.

Tons of career opportunities if you know how to network across the company. People change roles frequently and it's not discouraged.

    Cons

The company has grown so fast (head count doubles every few years) in so many locations (Philadelphia, San Francisco, Raleigh, London, Sweden, Singapore, etc) that it's gotten very difficult to keep track of who's doing what and has resulted in duplication of effort or lack of alignment. These challenges can certainly be overcome but be aware of what type of environment YOU thrive in. Some people love the far-flung international culture, others don't fit.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

CEO and most of the C-level execs are wonderful people, approachable and down to earth. A not-insignificant amount of politics one or two levels down. C-level execs need to make sure *everyone* live the company values, and possibly penalize performers who succeed by going around the values.

I have been working at Qlik full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Communication of values
Social events, time off for volunteering, annual company summit, potential for global travel. Company product strategy, market share and growth; positive regard from customers and industry experts.

    Cons

Lack of career advancement, compensation, lack of mentor program. Management speaks about building and strengthening the culture and it seems sincere, but it is not visible. There is little to no emphasis on developing the internal talent the company has. Perhaps that will change as Qlik continues to mature.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you are continuously going to push to keep expenses down in arbitrary ways, be sure to invest in your people. Provide more focus groups, career development and mentoring programs. Promote from within.

    Pros

Great product although is is only one and has some age to it although QLIKSENSE is now out and appears to be better.
Good money if you over produce.

    Cons

Marketing and lead generation is the worst ever experienced for a company that size resulting in new hire turn over at an industry high of 39%. The Oracle lead sales Mgmt. is no fun either unless your are one of the boys on Joe D. team.
Reps spend most of their time updating SFDC and Sales 360 and doing reviews of SOE, SOI's that literately there is little time for selling there.. The process is all consuming. the new model is to hire young inexperienced sales folks and pay them less money and just work the process. the challenge however is zero leads coming in creates a vacuum of need and expectations.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Change it all out for new leadership soon.

    Pros

Very interesting product, shows well, serious issues around Big Data and they don't seem to be listening.

    Cons

North American sales leadership are bizarre, unethical and as slimy as they come, if you're considering a sales position, I would recommend that you RUN unless you just have to have a job. Trust me, it's worse than where you're at now. Politics are unbelievable, they fire people who blow out their number because they don't like the mix of deals, they fire sales management if they don't think they travel enough, even though they hit their number, etc. etc. etc. The CEO claims that they will never be like that big company run by Larry and he's right, they're even sleazier and they'll never come close to achieving anything close to that company.

I have been working at Qlik full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

They are always pushing you to succeed so that you grow to be all that you can be. They are some of the most kind and patient people I have ever worked with.

    Cons

They are always pushing you to succeed so that sometimes you are drinking from a fire hose. This is only a "CON" in that there is a lot to learn, and I had to put something in this space ...
