I have been working at Quad/Graphics full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Decent raises after working hard and showing that I'm committed to the company, family events (Christmas party, Company Picnic), Yearly review of your progress as an individual worker, health, dental and vision insurance. In other words, if you don't stand out in your progress, don't whine about not getting raises. Your not only working for a paycheck, but working to make the company as a whole better!

    Cons

    Long work hours - 7-7

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Honestly, I have none. This is a great company and I am blessed to be able to work for Quad. Thanks to Joel Quadracci and the rest of the team, for the family events they hold.

    I worked at Quad/Graphics

    Pros

    Health benefits were pretty good

    Cons

If you are working for a company that Quad purchases, run as fast as you can. You will need to re-interview for your job, and whatever you're currently being paid, subtract 15-20% with the possibility of being let go in the next few months anyways.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When you buy a company, don't treat your newly captured employees as dimwits. When you buy a company and 60% of the original employees leave within 4 months, how is that good management? And wearing the silly uniforms is way over the top of being ridiculous.

    Pros

The good reasons are that they have the best medical insurance around at least in my plant. They also have a decent 401k.

    Cons

The printing industry is on a decline there is more and more time off and less and less being printed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at Quad/Graphics full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Stable company, decent benefits (with a catch)

    Cons

Healthcare is GREAT... if you live near a QuadMed facility. For those of us no where near one, healthcare stinks and is expensive (my doctor was shocked by my copay, let alone the deductible I have to meet before it pays). Pay is low with very tiny yearly increases. Sounds like it used to be a great company, but it's lost its soul since Joel took over. Hard to get a decent raise without taking on a new position. Upper management doesn't listen to workers until it's too late. Want you to do more work without compensation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the employees doing the work before it's too late. Offer comparable benefits for your employees that don't live near QuadMed. Treat your employees well and maybe they'll work harder for you.
