    Pros

All staff friendly, I've been given many opportunities in the short time I've been employed here to work on projects and travel. I would love to work here for a long time.

    Cons

This is a specialized consulting company so there is a certain degree of uncertainty/instability in terms of job security due to the nature of business.

    Pros

Great people working on a great mission. The people that work at Quadel really care about affordable housing. Good opportunities to move up within the company. The company also valued work life balance and offered a strong benefit package.

    Cons

When I first joined things were great. It was a great company in which to grow and get to work on different things. However, over my time there things started going downhill. Contracts were mismanaged and eventually lost, which led to financial troubles for the company. As a result there were multiple rounds of layoffs, elimination of 401(k) match, furloughs, no raises for multiple years and reduced bonuses. These actions really affected employee morale and coming to work was often depressing. Overall I think there was a lot of distrust in the competence of upper management. It's truly a shame that such a mission driven company is now being driven into the ground. The reputation of the company seems to be tarnished beyond repair.

    Advice to Management

Someone should really look at the senior leadership and question why contracts were/are being lost.

    Pros

There is opportunity to help the less fortunate.

    Cons

Corporate management was decided on tenure not talent. This decision leaves the company in the hands of incompetent leadership. To make up for these short comings the management team demonstrates arrogance. If you decide to work for this company do not include performance incentive bonus's in your salary negotiations. This company does not pay out any where close to there promise.

    Advice to Management

The board knows what they need to do. The big question is how much respect and money will they loose before they do it??

  6. A very stressful, fraudulent and hostile company with no vision for effective leadership from senior management.

    Pros

Dedicated group of subordinate staff who would do just about anything necessary to help the company reach its goals year after year even at the detriment of their own personal and professional growth, health and sometimes, family.

    Cons

This company has the most unresponsive leadership of any government contractor. Employee suggestions, questions, or concerns are consistently ignored and often met with retaliation in the form of terminations or forced resignations resulting in a high number of EEOC complaints, with thousands of tax payer funds spent on preventable settlements. Basic compensation such as promotions, pay raises and performances bonuses are frequently used by Managing/Project Directors as favorite tools to silence/punish dissenting opinions especially at its subsidiaries while top leadership looked the other way.

    Advice to Management

I do not see the need to give any type of useful advice to the present group of senior management that has been consumed by their own bloated egos, inability to smell the smoke prior to the fire, and quite resistant to think outside the box while its business world has all but collapsed from self-inflicted wounds that were quite avoidable with proactive oversight from the corporate office.

    Pros

Company offered great culture with strong benefits. Most of the management held Open Door policy. The schedule was flexible and employees with kids were treated fairly well. In addition to standard benefit package, the company also paid yearly bonus and matched 401K up to 4%. Management held employee appreciation events in addition to other employee centered activities.

    Cons

Hard to get promoted because company prefers to hire from outside. Almost no opportunities for on the job training. Management is set in their ways and not open to suggestions. While technology is available and updated fairly regularly, it's underutilized at times.

    Advice to Management

Look for talents inside the company.
