Very frustrating to work for a company that has the potential but falls short due to corporate leadership ignorance.

    Pros

Second level management is strong enough to carry corporate leadership. Unfortunately second level management becomes frustrated and does not stay with company.

    Cons

Corporate leadership is incompetent. They struggle to maintain contracts due to arrogance and lack of management skills. Second level management is often relied upon to carry the company and make up for corporate leadership short comings. I would suggest that you take a very close look at this companies history before signing on with them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This advice goes directly to the board members. You have a wonderful program. This program and Quadel's reputation is being destroyed by the leadership that you have put in charge. Replacement of Corporate leadership from top to bottom is critical for the success of Quadel. How many contracts have you lost? Why?

Don't seem to know what their end game is

Former Employee - Temp in Washington, DC
Former Employee - Temp in Washington, DC

I worked at Quadel Consulting as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

I literally wrote a novel during the three months I was there. I'd never have that kind of time other places.

    Cons

No structure. They contract with the government, and I would argue are less effective than it. I've worked for a government agency. Relatively speaking, everyone has their heads screwed on straight, even if they are overstaffed. Quadel just seems to hire on temps for the hell of it. I was mystified as to what half of the people there did. It really just seemed like they were packing as much bureaucracy into one office as possible. It's quite possible that as a temp I wasn't privy to the actual mechanics of the business and that maybe they do know what they're doing, but it sure didn't seem like it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    I couldn't say.

I worked at Quadel Consulting full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Company offered great culture with strong benefits. Most of the management held Open Door policy. The schedule was flexible and employees with kids were treated fairly well. In addition to standard benefit package, the company also paid yearly bonus and matched 401K up to 4%. Management held employee appreciation events in addition to other employee centered activities.

    Cons

Hard to get promoted because company prefers to hire from outside. Almost no opportunities for on the job training. Management is set in their ways and not open to suggestions. While technology is available and updated fairly regularly, it's underutilized at times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look for talents inside the company.

    Pros

Move on to the next job offer. This company does not have any Pros to offer

    Cons

Very unstable corporate leadership. Corporate leaders demonstrate first line management qualifications. This company needs stronger leadership.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in to a management consulting firm. You need to brush up on the basics.

I worked at Quadel Consulting full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

If you want to grow a thick skin and appreciate every successive employer, this is a great place to be.

    Cons

I worked at their Newark location, and employees received negative pressure both from clients and management. Management process was results-driven, but lacked clarity and planning. Employees were considered replaceable and HR was nonexistent. Managers present had clearly been promoted beyond their capacity. Empathy and understanding, especially in an industry that serves high-poverty clients, was non-existent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find a way to inject some humanity in the work that you do, both for your employees and the clients you serve.

    Pros

Good work/life balance, get federal holidays off.

    Cons

Work can be boring at times and seeing what's wrong with the public sector doesn't shock me that our Gov't has such a negative public perception.
