I have been working at Quaker Steak & Lube part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Free food sometimes, lots of good coworkers, sometimes nice customers, good music, food is good, you get to wear jeans and shorts,

    Cons

The hours are awful, some managers are awful. Also, I've been here since May and I haven't had a performance review or pay raise. Also MANY employees have complained to the GM about some of our other managers but nothing have happened to them at all. I don't even think they've been talked to about their actions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please please please take employees complaints serious. Also give some kind of incentive for people to want to stay. Even a pat on the back would be nice.

I worked at Quaker Steak & Lube part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Money is descent, if you get good shifts.
    Management is pretty laid back.

    Cons

Lazy fellow employees will leave you doing all the work.
The clientele is a little... trashy

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Favoritism is alright, if its earned. Allowing lazy people who suck at thier jobs to do whatever they want, not good for business.

    Pros

    Decent pay.pretty females,Free food,nice enviroment,lots of booze

    Cons

You only get the times you come in.no end of shift times.I was a dishwasher more experienced then everyone getiing only $8.25 while others were getting 9-12$ an hour. Managers play the favorite game and are very unfair. You will get singled out.

I have been working at Quaker Steak & Lube full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

You can make great money with this brand if you complete your shift with a positive attitude and make a solid effort to have fun. There are so many events during the summer that it is almost impossible to not make good money.

    Cons

Winters are dreadful, I believe people think that it is closed during the winter so the business level cuts down to like a 4th of the summer business.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employees like the adults that they are, not like children. Have faith that your employees are capable of doing their job, and let them show you that they can do it... don't think they can't. have faith.
