Current Employee – been working at Qualcomm full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Cutting Edge Technology. Always sufficiently challenged feeling. Feels taken care of. Open door.
Cons – Lacks Cool factor. Innovation is limited to few Research Groups rather than entire organization. Dont compensate efforts equivalently.
Advice to Senior Management – Plan better for deadlines. Plan for time-offs of your employees who are burning out. There is really no cool-off period. Customer is the King, but your Peasants form the Kingdom.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Former Employee – worked at Qualcomm as an intern for less than a year
Pros – The technology and the culture at Qualcomm is top notch. The technology the company works on is cutting edge for the industry and the company feels like it. Definitely not disappointed.
Cons – The intern experience seemed a little disorganized/unfinished. There is a culture of getting things done quickly and needing to keep up with people because they don't often slow down for the benefit of new employees.

Former Employee – worked at Qualcomm as an intern for less than a year
Pros – Qualcomm is an extremely successful company that truly cares about it's employees and interns. The internship program is so strong that I immediately felt apart of the team and involved in each step of the way through the various projects I assisted them with. The people are friendly, smart, driven and fun.
Cons – The only reason I would not recommend Qualcomm to somebody is if they were not passionate about wireless technology and the big advances occurring in the industry, or if they weren't keen on the big corporate feel.

Former Employee – worked at Qualcomm
Pros – The people were awesome, and the dramatic success afforded us many amenities. It also provided a very stable environment.
Cons – Smaller divisions were a testing ground for managers that were being groomed. Understandable from the larger picture, but painful at the smaller scale.
Advice to Senior Management – Soft pillows don't last. People prefer respect rather than sweets.
