Low pay, lots of pressure, sweatshop like environment

Software Engineer (Current Employee) San Diego, CA

ProsLocation, facilities, stock going up, free pop

ConsExperience largely depends on the team. On my there were lots of pressure, overtime (even over night) is expected and implied. People are treated like slaves. Morale is very low, many members of the team H1Bs that have no choice but to shut up and work. Management does not seem to care about the work life balance of its employees.

Great job- poor management. My position was compromised by some immature coworkers.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Austin, TX

ProsSolid company- I respect them greatly. I thoroughly enjoyed all of my assignments when I did receive them.

ConsSaw my boss maybe once a week & he was very difficult to reach. Getting access to do my job was like pulling teeth. Very unprepared for their new employees.

Advice to Senior ManagementSpeak to your employees directly. Don't judge on rumors from jealous and immature coworkers. TALK TO ME!

Used to be amazing but recently becoming too big with too many silos.

Marketing (Current Employee) San Diego, CA

ProsThe benefits and pay are great. The opportunities depend on your department but there is generally some opportunity to move around and try different projects.

ConsLately, the silos and disagreement among management has made is hard to get your job done without getting into politics.

Advice to Senior ManagementWork on creating incentive for upper management (VP/SVP level) to work together versus complete with each other.
