I have been working at Qualcomm full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Top benefits, greate stock option, not a lot of company offer RSU to new grads llike Qualcomm.
Pay is okay but lower than bay area average.
Work life balance okay for my team: 9am-6pm, no extra time in evening for most of time.

    Cons

Too many people working on same stuff and this might be because of a huge organization.
Some team is hard to deal with, needs to go to mid management for approval if you want some data.
Food in onsite cafe sucks and is expensive.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Re-organize engineering teams; Improve food quality or reduce the price

I worked at Qualcomm full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Great housing provided. Competitive compensation. Various intern events and guest lectures organized to enhance the overall experience. I would recommend the experience to anyone willing to get an exposure to some of the recent cool technologies.

    Cons

Did not learn a lot as such on the technical side. Was given a step-by-step task which had to be implemented. The project was completely thought about by the upper management of the team and the specifications provided were sometimes vague, which made the implementation process very iterative and mostly boring.

I worked at Qualcomm as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Access to tech talks and their own personal library.
    Great IT staff and tools.
Start up feel with big company perks.
Lots of gyms and bonding activities.
Full disclosure: They treat their interns really, really well. Full time employees do not get the same perks.

    Cons

As with most companies as an engineer you will spend a lot of time working. With Qualcomm's fast pace to stay three steps ahead of the competition it is hard not to be completely engrossed in your work. If you work here you should be of the mindset that your fun time is working.
