I worked at Questrade full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Collaborative environment, good benefits, understanding managers, flexible schedule.

There were lots of room for personal growth and they have a lot of trading seminars for everyone to keep up to date on how their software works.. and in general, useful for the staff in other areas so they can get acquainted with the industry.

    Cons

Was rather unorganized as I didn't have a project manager. My training was kind of shallow so I had to figure a lot of things out for myself.

    Pros

Amazing technical talent. Fast paced and challenging environment. Strong entrepreneurial spirit. Rapidly growing firm. Unique growth opportunities.

I have been working at Questrade full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The company culture and work atmosphere is unreal. Everyone is friendly and there is such a close knit culture about the company. It's like being a part of a rapidly expanding family.

    Cons

My office faces the North side of the building and it gets chilly in the winter. The elevators are also a bit slow.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep the pizza parties and other company events coming, they're amazing.

I have been working at Questrade full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

It has a lot of opportunities of development. And I as a low rank employee get to work on interesting new projects all the time.

    Cons

It is very hectic after every release of new features.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Well I think that sometimes there is not enough research done before deciding how to approach new project.

I have been working at Questrade full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

The people, the unique projects, the ERAC events. Being involved with such a dynamic team is a pleasure. Also, the chance to work on multiple projects (of varying complexities) has really enhanced my skills. I've become a better communicator and manager thanks to Questrade.

    Cons

My chilly office. Other than that, I have nothing to criticize. However, being located closer to downtown would be nice :)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When possible, try not to rush through a project to attempt to meet a certain deadline. (i.e. RRSP season).
