Former Employee - Barista, Cashier, Kitchen, Everything Pretty Much

I worked at Quickly part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

No experience needed but a friendly personality helps.
Good starting point for high school/college students who want a part time job
The workplace is very laid back, flexible hours

    Cons

A laid back environment can mean less organizational structure
No potential to grow in the company no matter how skilled you are
Minimum wage. Sometimes you work alone and take on the labor as 3 workers

I worked at Quickly part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

as long as you can remember your recipe well you had no problem
whenever you are finished on all duties that were assigned to you, you can relax until another customer shows up

    Cons

during slow hours the store get relatively quiet
    the pay wasnt good

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

you have to listen to your employee some more, they're the one who's facing the customers.
in terms of knowing what the store fronts needs, and what the customer wants, your employees may know better than you.

I worked at Quickly part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

I had a lot of freedom since I was the only one running the store. Exhilarating to learn how to do everything quickly and efficiently.

    Cons

Long hours, especially night shift. I eventually quit just because I would practically fall asleep at the fryer. Not suitable for a college student I'd say, but I understand if you have to do what you have to do.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Shorter hours per shift and I think management should implement some type of technology to easily switch shifts with others. The employees were very independent and we handled all shift switches.

I worked at Quickly part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Good starting job for someone with no prior work experience
Each quickly is different, the one I worked at was ran by one employee at a time and you rarely sees the boss, So you are more free to do whatever you want without anyone watching over you and correcting you all the time.

    Cons

The starting pay was $8.50 for Berkeley CA. It was raised to $10 later on but since you are the only one working there, the pay definitely does not reflect how much you actually work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be kind to your employee, maybe with higher pay you might receive better service from them

I worked at Quickly part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The best thing is you get to learn how to work at the kitchen. This is great for high school students to learn the hard work.

    Cons

Low pay and you work until late at night. So that's pretty bad.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Little bit higher rate per hour.

Current Employee - Drink Maker in Cupertino, CA

I have been working at Quickly part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Free drinks and food. Friendly co-workers. Careful consideration about safety for female workers.

    Cons

You don't get many hours unless you're a cashier. Employee turnover rate is high because they aren't picky when hiring but once you're hired they like to fire you without giving you a warning about what you're doing wrong. You get yelled at when your friends come in and you give them a quick wave. For $8 an hour, you're doing a whole lot and dealing with unfriendly and unhelpful management. You can find a better job for the exact same pay.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Positive Outlook
