I have been working at QuikTrip part-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

This job offers great benefits after two, five, and ten years. There are bonuses every six months and raises every year. Managers are always training and allowing part-time clerks to become full-time assistants. Leadership is key and training is constant. Work is easy as long as you are willing to work.

    Cons

You are on your feet 6-10 hours. It can make for long shifts. It is easy to get bored because it is the same work over and over again. Customers can be huge jerks and there is really nothing you can do about it. Outside work sucks in the winter. It is easy to guilt the managers into doing the work though.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked at QuikTrip part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good atmosphere, great benefits after 1 year (insurance, 401k, tuition assistance, vacation, bonus). Annual meetings treat you like royalty no matter who you. There are also free giveaways at the meeting (money, vacation time off, gift cards, and everyone receives a door prize). Last time I went, I received a rollaway cooler.

    Cons

Customers will be customers. Cannot be afraid to get dirty. There is a lot of cleaning, especially restrooms. And you always have the tendency to get rob at night, depending where you work at. I got rob twice at gun point but the city I was in was real rough.

I have been working at QuikTrip part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Highly competitive compensation and benefits for this industry. A managerial culture that emphasizes having the employees' backs and giving them the support they need to do their jobs.

    Cons

Entry-level assistants have to work overnights for an indefinite period. While there are numerous opportunities to promote, there will be stiff competition any time such an opportunity comes up - especially when trying to move out of the store and into the division / corporate office. Employee evaluations rely heavily on anonymous feedback which may or may not be fair. Any single employee's mistake can have serious repercussions for all the other employees in that store.

I worked at QuikTrip full-time for less than a year

    Pros

For no college degree, this job pays a good amount. People were friendly, my manager was a little overbearing and liked to pass the blame on to other, but that's not what i heard about the others.

    Cons

Can be too fast paced at times

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Many times i ended up working 14 hour days. Keep an eye on that clock and don't ask people to stay too long.

I have been working at QuikTrip

    Pros

    Pay
    Friendly employees
    Benefits
    Hours
Good gas prices that keep customers returning

    Cons

    Entry management schedule
    RA 2 Overnights, 1 evening, 2 mornings

NA 5 overnights Friday through Tuesday. No weekend for you

No time to spend with family
Muller management is consistantly watching for any mistake

    Favoritism

I used to love the company until I kept getting denied out of overnights. Getting yelled at by upper management for things that weren't under your control.
    Feel bitter towards the company.
The customer is not always right.
Value the employee more by not always listening to the rude employee exaggerate a story.
Don't make the employee feel as if he/she is getting payed to get humiliated. Getting yelled at, thrown stuff at, or cursed by customers isn't worth the money.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Don't have favorites
Promote those who work hard not those who suck up
Listen to employees and not just on a customer complaint even if the tape can't show or let you hear anything clearly.
