Current Employee – been working at Quiksilver full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – Quiksilver has an amazing culture and environment. Everyone has a passion for their jobs, the industry, and the lifestyle. It offers a good work/life balance. They also do a great job of promoting from within.
Cons – Everyone needs to start somewhere, but in comparison to other companies, the pay is not very good. People work so hard for minimal increases.

Former Employee – worked at Quiksilver part-time for more than a year
Pros – cool job, fun environment, laid back
Cons – after working there for 2 years, they still wouldn't promote me and I worked extremely hard. they give you a higher title but they don't really "promote" you. I worked 30-40 hours a week, but I was considered part-time, so I had no benefits. I asked several times to be switched to full-time but they never did.

Current Employee – been working at Quiksilver as a contractor for less than a year
Pros – The management is flexible and give you opportunities to advance which is nice. Everyone that works there seems to like their job.
Cons – Work load can be a little much at times. And the opportunity to advance may be limited depending on what area of the company you are placed into.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep up the good work!

Former Employee – worked at Quiksilver full-time for more than a year
Pros – Fun product, easy hours, easy work attire.
Cons – Lack of true brainpower and initiative within the company, low pay, poor long term career path (unless you are content staying on the bottom with everyone else.) I also had never met so many people who hadn't graduated from HIGH SCHOOL with actual corporate jobs. People felt lazy.
Advice to Senior Management – Instill measurements for productivity and set goals (and get rid of the duds.)

Former Employee – worked at Quiksilver full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Updated work environment, creative spaces, good place to work if you're action sports oriented
Cons – Poor management, company priorities are not in order, ineffective leadership, career growth path is minimal, execs have good quality of life while worker bees do most of the heavy lifting.
Advice to Senior Management – Coach and encourage your people to grow and take responsibility for their actions. The sign of bad management is withholding information, excluding your team from decision making and communication - stop keeping people in the dark like mushrooms...Stop promoting unqualified "Bros" into executive positions, just because they make great surfing buddies.
