I have been working at Quincy Medical Center

Pros – Great coworkers and an environment that is always changing and unpredictable allowing you to utilize your skills and training. Interact with multitudes of different types of people allowing for great learning experiences. Working in a close-knit community but at the same time a large city.

Cons – Very short-staffed and money issues in hospital. Large drug problem in the surrounding community that reflects in the patient population.

Advice to Senior Management – Improve overall staffing and funding. Continue making structural improvements to the entire facility and grounds. Create program that assists customers and people in the community with getting health insurance that are currently uninsured or expand the program we already have.

Cons – Job security and job future is often uncertain due to recurring financial and budgetary issues with the hospital. Mediocre benefits.
