I have been working at Quintiles full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Global company with a good variety of opportunities to move around within or advance within.

    Cons

Pay is a bit low and vacation plan anemic. Most benefits are comparable to industry average.

    Advice to Management

Offer better salaries to secure and retain top talent. Increase vacation days/year to become more competitive within the industry.

I have been working at Quintiles full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good Clinical Project Managers, good IT, recently the company changed LMs and it was a great change

    Cons

Horrible, horrible CTMS, expense reports and other software. Over allocation and long hours, lots of stress

    Advice to Management

Hire a different company with good programmers to have CTMS with good website without lots of bugs. Respect monitors, do not over allocate, give them good tools

    Pros

Nice people, nice boss, compensation decent,

    Cons

incredibly unstable, work life balance terrible, territory constantly changing so can't be successful

    Advice to Management

Maybe instability not the fault of Management - but advice would be to "sell" stability to client

    Pros

Anticipates thes future of the industry and steers the company toward innovative a processes and ideas.

    Cons

Quintiles is a bit top heavy, more layers of oversight than needed creating a lot of duplicate reporting.

    Advice to Management

Streamline project reporting both in technological systems and within teams/units.

I have been working at Quintiles as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Solid contract sales position. Nice benefits and good people to work with. Every project seems to be different, some are better than others.

    Cons

Little room for advancement and growth within this current project.

    Advice to Management

Some of the upper management is unapproachable with field sales reports. A obvious mistrust is evident within the compliance portion of the company. Initial respect and understanding would go further in the long run. It is exhausting having to prove one's self from the start. Sales reps are generally honest, hard working, and good people. It would be nice if the company took more pride in and trusted their home based workers more.

    Pros

I have been working at Quintiles full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great new hire bonus, and bonus programs are excellent, great training as well. This company gives you a gas card, medical insurance, dental, vision.

    Cons

Expense Reporting once a month is annoying and no other company seems to do it that way (bi-weekly). Bonus payments come a month later then non contract employees. Contract employees tend to be treated as second class citizens when it comes to dealing with other non contract colleagues.
