    Pros

This company has help many Americans live longer and lead a better lifestyle from the drugs it has helped bring to market. There are a few genuine work relationships. A small percentage of managers who really care about employees career path and growth. Flexible schedule especially if you are a single parent.

    Cons

A culture of if broke why fix it especially from those who have been with the company for a long time and have learned to cut corners. Favoritism flourishes like lichens in the Tundra Biome and needs to be reviewed for sake of the companies success. IT needs to perform better after all most companies spend the most money trying to create solutions to save the company time and money and in the long run be profitable. Some employees abuse job flexibility which eventually hurts honest employees by adding to the work load.

    Advice to Management

Hire real talent, recognize hard workers who walk the walk. Upper management needs to figure out how ways on how to receive real honest feed back from line managers on what goes on in the work place on a daily basis. Line Managers need to know A-Z the job of the employees they supervise this is the only way to give honest end year reviews. Too many long and fruitless meetings leads to employees not being fully engaged and only showing up to keep their jobs.

    Pros

Benefits, pay and flexibility are great for certain positions.

    Cons

Projects are not always supported from top down. Overall, my particular role was unsupported from the top down which made for an extremely frustrating 6 years.

    Pros

Great place to learn about the industry. You will need to be a self starter because the company will quickly throw you into projects and the training is... so so. There are some truly fantastic line managers but they also have projects so it is a balance deciding how often to go to them for input.

    Cons

Very little to no professional development. Quintiles has a "burn out" mentality: work your people until they leave and get every drop of effort out of them. From what I have learned the Q used to try and cultivate people but since they have gone public it seems much more about the bottom line.

    Advice to Management

Provide more professional development including conferences, certificates, and training. Decrease management's project load as it detracts from their ability to support their reports.

    Pros

Great talented people ! Nothing else is really a pro. Teams can make or break your study.

    Cons

Restructuring a huge mess. Several great hard working people are currently not selected for new structure and lack of resources disrupts study productivity. New people were based on interview only and not previous experience, years at q , or yearly evaluations. Pay is less than industry and promotions and mgt support is terrible. They are letting go of current staff and hiring new staff for same positions. It is like the hunger games, everyday staff is unsure if they will be selected.

    Advice to Management

get it together. You are losing several loyal and hard working people who have never performed badly. Increase pay to meet industry standard. If current staff is not experienced enough for roles, train them.
