    Pros

Pay raises and promotions were consistent over two years

    Cons

Store I worked at had slow business so shifts could drag on and little tips

  3. Okay job for High School

I have been working at Quiznos

    Pros

You are working with similar high school aged people. Can be boring, repetitive, and uninspiring, as you would expect.

    Cons

Hours can be long. Night and day shifts; closing then opening. No room to move up, stuck in the dead end job. only if this is a last resort. On your feet all day.

    Advice to Management

Have to address the competition. Model after Potbelly. Their food is great, yours is not. Bland. Have more options for non-meateaters.

  5. Fine Part Time Job

I have been working at Quiznos part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good food, reasonable management, fairly relaxed but decent standards.

    Cons

Corporate doesn't seem like it's always on the side of franchisees, definitely hard for them to make money due to small profits. Quality has gone down in recent years.

    Advice to Management

Work to help your franchisees so this great brand doesn't go under.

    Pros

The environment was positive here, because I worked for friendly franchise owners. I recall getting a food discount, though that's the only benefit or perk. The actual work was very easy, but for a daily rush or two. You won't strain yourself.

    Cons

The flip side of working for franchise owners, especially at a location in a smaller town, is that -- while this is likely just a job for you -- the restaurant is their life. That means that they'll take things extremely seriously, perhaps too seriously for the business of making sandwiches. This can lead to the occasional stress or tension. The pay is also not great, and, even though you get a small discount, you're likely to pump money back into the company buying a sandwich everyday.

    Advice to Management

Don't assign busywork for the sake of staying busy. Trust your employees.

    Pros

The coworkers were kind and always willing to help and the discounted food was a plus. A good job if you want a lot of hours.

    Cons

Long hours for someone who only wanted to work part time and a large work load. Store did not have enough employees. There was little time and effort put into training. The manager and customers were difficult at times.

    Pros

Small town = flexible hours Small restaurant was easy to clean Decent/Great coworkers Employee discount

    Cons

Minimum wage job with no opportunities for promotion, except in individual cases. Probably, most Quiznos stores won't have flexible hours. Coworkers/Manager really dictate the environment you'll end up in.

    Pros

The work is relatively simple. The hardest thing about the job is just the amount of information you need to memorize but once you've done that it's more or less routine. Employee discount on purchases. Doesn't stay open ridiculously late. Food is pretty good.

    Cons

People do not like the prices and will make sure you know that. Pretty much no room for any kind of advancement whatsoever. Pay is typical american garbage at minimum wage or barely above it. No benefits at all. Seems like the actual corporation doesn't care about the store owners or the people in the stores at all. The actual work you do doesn't leave you very fulfilled. If you're just looking for part time work I would look elsewhere unless you were running low on options. If you're looking to own a franchise I would look elsewhere and then keep looking elsewhere if you were running low on options. It will not be worth it for you.
